We’re still in the energies of the Aquarius Full Moon, a time when community and connection, social issues and causes are in the spotlight. The Moon also activates the Lunar Nodes, a ripple of eclipse energy and a prelude to the August 12 solar eclipse.
There’s a lot going on in the sky at the moment. One of the things I’ve been saying about the astrology of 2026 is that the second half of the year was going to be very different from the first. Starting around July 1, we were going to start to get a lot of fire and air in the astrology, an energy that can illuminate and motivate as easily as it can be combustible.
Another notable aspect of the astrology of the second half of 2026 has been a shift of the Lunar Nodes into Aquarius-Leo on July 26. The Lunar Nodes are like a collective compass that create a story arc that points us in a new direction. And with the North Node now in Aquarius, the compass points towards a sign that speaks to life on a larger level.
The next 18 months will be a time to examine our relationship with community and society, our sense of belonging, our consciousness of the collective and humanity. Science and technology may also be a greater focus into early 2028 as well.
Note that we had a solar eclipse in Aquarius on February 17, kicking off a series of eclipses that will fall between Aquarius and Leo, with a final solar eclipse in Aquarius at 6 degrees on January 26, 2028.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for July 31, 2026.
