We’re in the energies of the new moon, a time of renewal as well as a time where seeds are planted for events that will unfold over the next four weeks. With yesterday’s new moon in Cancer, home and family as well as care and connection continue to be a priority.
That said, the Moon has since moved from Cancer to Leo, to a sign that will take center stage in the coming weeks courtesy of a Leo New Moon solar eclipse on August 12. We may be a month away from a solar eclipse, but I’ve noticed again and again as an astrologer that we can see eclipse-like events — personal milestones and achievements, transitions, powerful new meetings, changes — happen in the weeks before.
With the Moon activating the eclipse degree today and tomorrow, our homework is to take note of themes or events, even if subtle, that are coming up for us. These themes or events may be a preview of the solar eclipse to come in August, particularly Leo themes of identity and self-expression, confidence and self-esteem, creativity and passion.
