Mars reaches Uranus in Taurus, a high powered aspect that has been building all week. This is an energy that can bring the unexpected as equally as it pushes us to reinvent and take a new path. This is our moment to break free and leave the past behind.
About every two years, Mars and Uranus make a conjunction, which is to say, the planets meet up in the same part of the sky. Mars, on one hand, is a “personal” planet. It describes a need to individuate, to find our own two feet, to have the courage and bravery to set off on our own path. On the other hand, it’s a planet that touches upon our physical plane, our tangible lives. It can incite, activate, and inspire.
Mars, this time round, has been in Taurus since June 9. Our actions have been focused on our physical lives. Taurus is the sign that governs money and material matters, safety and security, value and worth. Maybe we’re inspired to gather resources for ourselves, to make more money, or to enjoy the pleasures of earthly life.
Uranus, however, has been in Taurus since May 2018, March 2019, a seven year stretch of time that has shaken up our material lives, has shifted our relationship with material stability and security. What do we take from today’s energy, especially with an emotional Scorpio Moon? Something needs to change and evolve. It’s part of life, but Uranus can speak to where we can get in our own way, emotionally as equally as physically.
Note the date of previous conjunctions between Mars and Uranus in Taurus was August 1, 2022 at 18 Taurus and January 20, 2021 at 6 Taurus. This is the final conjunction in Taurus. The next conjunction will be 3 Gemini on July 4, 2026.
In other news, the Cancer Sun squares with Chiron in Aries, an aspect that rubs up against a pain point. Chiron is a little more of a subtle influence compared to Mars and Uranus, running in the emotional and psychic background. It can pick at a scab. It can dig into scar tissue.
