Venus, newly in Leo, makes an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, an energy that can be equally seductive and magnetic as it can be confrontational and reformational. An old relationship pattern, especially around power and vulnerability, may need attention.
Pluto is an evolutionary planet. It’s part of a cohort of planets whose job is to get us to grow and evolve by any means possible. On the other end of the spectrum, Venus describes more personal affairs. It is the planet that describes what we love and value, how we relate and socialize with others.
Despite what we may glean from the word “opposition”, as in “Venus is in opposition to Pluto”, is neither good nor bad. Oppositions make us see things. A behavior that we need to take awareness of may be mirrored back to us via someone else. An event may coincide that helps us to make a realization. Of course, it depends on the planets involved what type of energy may be mirrored back to us etc.
It’s worth noting that the Moon is in Libra today and into the weekend, a sign that picks up on Venus and Pluto’s energy. Since July is a critical transitional point for the astrology of 2024 because it falls between an Aries solar eclipse in April and a Libra solar eclipse to come in October, we may see notable experiences around relationship and connection and the need for transformation.
