Welcome to Aquarius Season! We’ve reached the penultimate sign of the zodiac! Aquarius is about life at the level of its systems and networks. It’s society and humanity. It turns our attention to the future.
Let’s not forget that, as of December, we’re in a collective time, what with both Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius, where we have to look at our life from the level of its systems and networks. Do we need to rebuild? Organize things different? Where are we out of balance? Where does a physical imbalance represent a greater imbalance? And what of society? Humanity? How do we tackle the bigger issues of social change and justice over the next two years while Saturn is in Aquarius?
As I mentioned yesterday, today’s Aries Moon adds fuel to tomorrow’s conjunction between Mars and Uranus in Taurus. While the Moon will have moved onto Taurus at the moment of the exact conjunction, it does make for some build up in the energies in the day before.
Uranus is very “throw the baby out with the bathwater” kind of energy. Meaning, we’re so restless to make a change that we don’t think everything through. Uranus wants freedom. It wants to break us from the constraints of the past, even if that means being impulsive.
What’s a little strange about this energy is that it’s happening in Taurus, the sign of taking time to plan, get comfortable, and find the right moment. Taurus is very much driven by safety and security. Its instinct is to preserve life, which is a wonderful instinct … until it gets in the way of moving forward.
Uranus in Taurus is a seven year story — yes, seven years — of reinventing old patterns around money and worth, safety and stability. It’s giving us new eyes and new awareness of our bodies, which we often discard and disassociate from. It’s teaching us what really matters. It’s pushing us to get uncomfortable in order to find who we really are.
Taurus is an area of big change this year, something I’m talking all about in my webinar on The Astrology of 2021 on Saturday, January 23 at 3 pm EST. You can still sign up to get the replay if you cannot watch live. Details and registration here.
Another thing that Taurus loves is taste in touch, something that I’ll be invoking in the latest edition of Cosmos, Crystals & Cabernet on Sunday, February 7 at 6 pm EST, an event that will pair a Albariño white wine from California with morganite, a crystal that’s a pink cousin of emerald. Details and registration here.
