The Moon enters Sagittarius and we enter into the dark of the moon, the days before the Capricorn New Moon on January 18. It’s a day to rest and go inward, to ponder life’s greater questions and mysteries, and to look towards the stars.
We’ve come full circle since the December 19 Sagittarius New Moon, which is to say, we’ve nearly completed a chapter that has been lived through Sagittarius — what do we believe in and stand for, what is right and what is wrong, the search for wisdom and knowledge, the need to grow and learn.
The coming new moon on January 18 will be a reset for the New Year, a new moon that will turn our focus on our lives and the structures they are built upon. With four planets in Capricorn, it will be a new moon to put to the service of new projects and initiatives, all to bring order and reach for our goals.
We will bring the Mars-Jupiter opposition with us into this lunar month, which is to say that the next four weeks will continue to push and pull at our lives, especially as Saturn comes to the end of its time in Pisces.
We’re also a month away from a solar eclipse on February 17 at 28 Aquarius, one of the headlining events for the New Year. Changs are on the horizon. New stories await us.
