Last day of the lunar month, one that began with a solar eclipse. Look back to all that has shifted, ended, or opened since December 14. Tomorrow’s new moon is a powerful restart to a year that just began.

Yes, we’re in the gate for tomorrow’s Capricorn New Moon at 23 degrees, one that finds itself right next to Pluto. In order to understand what’s happening now, we have to see its roots in a story that began in January 2008 when Pluto first entered Capricorn and started a 16-year process of tearing down and rebuilding a certain area of your life.

Pluto is also like the plumber of the planets. Except that clog that it’s trying to open is on a soul level. Whatever is coming up right now, in addition to having a thread to 2008, is something that’s been stuck in our psychic pipes.

You could also call Pluto a mirror. (In fact that’s a term that my spirit guides used to refer to Pluto.) It holds a mirror to us, to something that we don’t want to see. The coming days may bring stark truths and realizations. Don’t shy away from what you’re seeing in yourself. It’s a necessary alchemy for spiritual change. And with Mars square Pluto, there’s a lot of pressure right now. (I talked about this in my weekly live look at the astrology.)

That said, things may be getting a little bumpy over the coming days. Exercise self care. Journal. Go for a walk. Meditate. Search within for answers. Mercury in Aquarius is trying to show us the bigger picture.

Don’t forget, I’m doing a 90-minute webinar on The Astrology of 2021, Saturday, January 23 at 2 pm EST. Replay is available for those who can’t watch live. Details and registration here.
