We start the week with a Capricorn Moon, one that’s not only focused on the duties and responsibilities of the coming days, but one that prepares us for the new moon. Wrap things up instead of starting new.

In a similar vein, it’s worth reminding that we’re in Mercury Retrograde, a time when it’s about pulling back and seeing a situation or choices from a new perspective. It’s also a time to consider new choices and new approaches, especially anything unresolved from the past.

Today’s conjunction between the Sun and Mercury marks the halfway point for this Mercury Retrograde. We’ve got two weeks left before Mercury turns direct on February 20.

The Sun and Mercury are currently joined by three other planets in Aquarius, which makes for five planets in total. (That’s a lot of planets in Aquarius.) With Thursdays Aquarius New Moon, that will make a total of six planets in Aquarius, something we haven’t seen since 1962.

With all these planets in Aquarius, alongside Saturn, it means that there’s a lot of focus on one part of our lives. And this week’s new moon will not only open a new chapter on February 11, but push us forward into a new life that’s been opening up since 2018-2019.

More on this in my weekly Facebook Live at 6 pm EST today, Monday, February 8. You can watch the replay on YouTube, IGTV, or listen on Spotify.

PS — I was a guest on astrologer Stormie Grace’s YouTube channel for a segment called Eat and Greet. We not only talk about my work as an astrologer (and share some brownies) but look at the astrology of February 8-14, 2021.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for the following day.
