The Astrology of February 27, 2026

Mars in Aquarius makes a powerful square to Uranus in Taurus, a ripple of eclipse energy that threads us back to the February 17 solar eclipse. If Mars is action and desire, then Uranus shakes things up. It can also inspire us to go off in radically new directions.

An eclipse is not a singular date that comes and goes. It plants a seed, acts like a focal point for our experiences over the coming six months. 28 Aquarius, the degree of the solar eclipse, will be a marker for us, one that we will return to, especially when a planet or two activate the eclipse.

At present, Mars is at 27 Aquarius, quite close to the eclipse degree, making a square to Uranus at 27 Taurus. Mars is an instigator and catalyst. Uranus acts as a great awakener, a point of friction that invites us — or jolts us — into seeing things differently and making a break from the past.

As a result, our experiences may be a bit intense today. New beginnings are starting to come in, courtesy of the eclipse. Uranus shakes things up. We can’t keep doing something the way we’ve been doing it.

Note that Mars reaches the eclipse degree this weekend, bringing these energies of new beginnings to the forefront. This will be Mars’s last time in Aquarius for two years, leaving for Pisces on March 2.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for February 28-March 2, 2026.
