A Cancer Moon picks up support from the Pisces Sun, a double dose of element water, an element that needs emotional connection and support. Cancer reaches into the past and into nostalgia. Pisces searches for greater purpose and meaning.
Water is also the element of transition. We need water. Not just because it feeds and nurtures our lives, but because it helps us to move on, to travel from one phase of our lives to the next, from this side to the other side.
One of my personal astrology axioms is that the zodiac does not end with Aquarius, which is to say, life does not end with the intellectual and rational, the scientific and technical. The zodiac is the wheel of life and it ends with Pisces — it ends with the subtle, the spiritual, and the intuitive. The finality of the zodiac is a sign that helps us to make sense of our lives on a deeper level.
Pisces Season is a reminder of this truth. And if that is the case, then we naturally use this season to search our lives, to find meaning. If that is something that we are missing, then there’s a push to take appropriate steps, especially with Saturn also in Pisces, a three-year lesson on building purpose and meaning in our lives as well as learning to let go and forgive.
