Here we are, at the last square between Saturn and Uranus, two planets that have upended the usually stable corners of our lives. Just because something works on paper, doesn’t mean it works for you.

If you are a fixed sign — my Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius folks — life in 2021 didn’t seem so fixed. The previous squares on February 17 and June 14 as well as the days and weeks around then may have coincided with major shifts, moves, or turning points.

Even if you aren’t a fixed sign, you have this energy at play somewhere in your astrology chart. Read Saturn in Aquarius: Sign by Sign and Uranus in Taurus: Sign by Sign to get a better idea.

At the heart of this square has been a need to change something that normally doesn’t want to change, which can be helpful if what hasn’t wanted to change has been rooted in the past or in trauma. Nevertheless, we can’t keep holding onto something that was never ours or never fit in the first place. All we can do is get out of our own way. Uranus demands radical authenticity. Saturn wants to build something that will actually support our lives.

Although today’s the last square, it reverberates into 2022 and there will be times when the energy will spark again in our lives, especially around the solar and lunar eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio next year. (I went into this more in depth in my Astrology of 2022 webinar, which you can still get the replay.)

So, what are you ready to change?
