Welcome to Capricorn Season. The Sun arrives in the 10th sign of the zodiac, kicking off the winter solstice for those of us here in the northern hemisphere (summer for those in the southern). It’s the return of the light on the darkest night of the year.
This is not our usual Capricorn Season of late. What’s different this year is that Saturn, Capricorn’s ruling planet, is in Pisces as of this past March. This is a change from Saturn in Aquarius from 2020-2023 and Saturn in Capricorn 2018-2020.
Usually Capricorn can be a bit materially focused, valuing hard work, success, and monetary achievement. But in Pisces, Saturn has to weigh the material against the spiritual.
It’s not to say that we have to renounce our worldly possessions with Saturn in Pisces. No, instead, what we reach for and build into 2026 has to align with a deeper sense of connection, meaning, and purpose. What we value isn’t work at all costs, but something that feels more holistic and regenerative. (The last time we had a Capricorn Season with Saturn in Pisces was 1996.)
With the Moon spending time in Taurus over the next few days, we may be feeling the punch of Venus in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus. There may be a push to see things differently, to take our lives in a new or different direction as we go into 2024. We may need to shake things up.
