Welcome to Capricorn Season. It’s the return of the light after the darkest days of autumn, here in the northern hemisphere at least. We celebrate the solstice and pivot into a new archetypal time.
Capricorn, the 10th sign of the zodiac, represents matter and the manifested world. It’s ruled by Saturn. It speaks to structures and boundaries, bones and physical form. It makes us feel time and the time that it takes for things to grow and take root.
Yes, things take time, a sometimes frustrating lesson, but one to remember as we navigate the coming four weeks. We need to build and work and cultivate anything that we want to be a solid presence in our lives.
With Saturn in a tense square to Uranus, this isn’t an ordinary Capricorn Season. Instead it’s one to break apart old structures, get us out of limiting patterns, to awaken us to something very new. In fact, December 24 marks the last of three squares between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. This week will push and pull at the psychic fissures in the structures of our lives.
The dates of the previous squares between Saturn and Uranus were February 17 and June 14, 2021.
