The Moon’s in Sagittarius today, a sign that opens us up to the world and gets us to search for truth in meaning. With Jupiter in Taurus, it’s important to integrate into our lives the principles that we hold. It’s the foundation that nourishes everything.
Although it’s generally quiet in the astrology today, we have a couple of notable things happening over the weekend.
First, the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn on Sunday, August 27, one of the major aspects for the year that calls upon us to take a step up in our duties and responsibilities and build our lives towards a greater goal. It’s a weekend to make commitments or, in some cases, get feedback from Saturn that something is not working or has the ability to keep going. My personal philosophy when it comes to Saturn is to just do what Saturn wants — show up on time, honor our commitments, and push ourselves to become a better version of ourselves.
Since Saturn has only been in Pisces since early March, this is also one of our big check-ins with a story that will take us into early 2026. If you recall, Saturn in Pisces is a three-year story that focuses on the search for inner truth and meaning and a need to make peace whenever possible. How are we doing? Saturn will let us know.
Then there’s Mars’s arrival in Libra, also on Sunday, August 27. This is something to watch because, one, Mars enters the sign of the South Node of the Moon and, two, this sets us up for the eclipses to come in October, namely the solar eclipse in Libra on October 14. Mars is an early activator, so to speak, which means that September will be an interesting month that presages the eclipse events of October.
Life’s about to get interesting, especially for those who have major planets and angles in Aries and Libra.
