Last day of Leo Season, a time to reflect and integrate our season with the Sun. Our lives now hopefully brighter and reinvigorated, we prepare to step into Virgo, a season that takes the creative spark of Leo and puts it into shape and form.
Speaking of endings, Mars is coming to the end of its time in Virgo. And as it does, it reaches an opposition with Neptune in Pisces today, an aspect that has been known to slow us down, make us tired, and thwart our actions. But at the heart of Mars’ opposition, Neptune is a need to align or reconcile our personal actions and desires (Mars) with our spiritual actions and desires (Neptune).
Surrender is often a word used in Neptune’s lexicon to describe its energies that pull at us, like a force. Neptune dissolves the boundaries between this world and the next, confusing and beguiling some while opening others up to higher states of awareness. Surrender means that we can’t sidestep Neptune’s energies. We need to learn to go with the flow and be in harmony with a higher plan. If we fight Neptune, we can get exhausted and caught within ourselves or our illusions.
Finally, the Moon is in Scorpio, which means that we’re coming to the first quarter moon, a checkpoint after last week’s powerful Leo New Moon on August 16. It’s often at the first quarter moon that we see a story come into focus or something that demands our attention. Whatever it is, it is directly related to the call for change and transformation that was seeded with the new moon. (Read my Leo New Moon report.)
I did a recap of last week’s Leo New Moon and why its energies had an impact in my weekly video for August 21-27, 2023. You can watch the replay on YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for August 23, 2023.
