Venus in Leo makes an electric square to Uranus in Taurus, an aspect that may shake up the status quo or shift a relationship. If Venus is what we love and value, Uranus is a point of friction, a demand to evolve and transform by any means possible.
Evolutionary planets — Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — are dynamic forces of change. Discovered in “modern” times, these planets were not known to the ancients because they were invisible to the naked eye. They were also beyond the border of Saturn, the last known planet that, to the ancients, represented finality and endings.
Up until a few centuries ago, life moved at a different pace and life evolved much differently. When Uranus was discovered in 1781, it paralleled a world in the first stirrings of great change, both technologically and socially. This is important to understand because Uranus, despite being the Greek god of the sky, is closer in actuality to the archetype of Prometheus, a god who, according to myth, brought fire to humanity.
Within this myth is the energy of illumination, a light in the dark, sudden and unexpected awarenesses, new consciousness, and expanded realities that push us beyond our known, visible world.
Uranus has been lighting up the sign of Taurus since May 2018, March 2019. It’s a space that has seen sudden changes, awakenings, breakdowns, and breakthroughs over the past 5-6 years. Even if you are not a Taurus or have no planets in Taurus when you were born, Taurus undoubtedly stands in for a key part of life for each zodiac sign. Whatever is happening today is part of a larger story of evolution and change — and sometimes a force of transformation that feels larger than us. Uranus breaks us free from the past, the familiar, and gets us out of our own way.
