The Astrology of August 18, 2025

As we start the week, we’re not only in the last few days of Leo Season, but we’re winding down the lunar month, which is typically a time to wrap up any projects and reflect on our lives since the new moon. What has changed since July? What still remains?

The Leo New Moon of July 24 was notable because it was marked by a strong opposition to Pluto. The last few weeks have been about clearing things out, literally and figuratively. Pluto is a planet that demands that we clear the past. It also exposes anything that was hidden, bringing an opportunity to recast or reforge for a new time. (Read Pluto in Aquarius: Sign by Sign.)

Looking ahead to the August 24 new moon, we have another strongly placed planet on the horizon. With a tight square to Uranus in Gemini, the coming four weeks, into mid-September, will be a time of reinvention, shake ups, and new perspectives. (Read Uranus in Gemini: Sign by Sign.)

In the meantime, the Moon travels from Gemini to Cancer today, from a sign of business and exploration to one that needs to slow down and prioritize quiet time.

On September 6, I am doing a three-hour online intimate workshop from 1pm to 3pm ET. Recorded for replay. Using my “12 Rooms” approach to astrology, we will dialogue with the planets to create a sacred and intuitive experience that will carry us into eclipse season and beyond. Register and learn more.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for August 19, 2025.
