Mars in Cancer and Chiron in Aries create friction, an aspect that may pull at old emotional scar tissue. If we are feeling something come up, it may be very old, a repeat of a theme or thread that runs its way through different parts of our lives. Look for healing.

Chiron, a newer edition to astrology, typically runs in the background. Which is to say, we don’t usually overtly feel its presence in the astrology. Instead, it can feel like a dull ache or something that runs through our subconscious experience. (Read On Chiron, Suffering, and Knots.)

Chiron speaks to the pain we all have as individuals and pain that links us to the human experience. And Chiron played a quiet role in the astrology of last week’s solar eclipse. It may mean that we’re navigating deep healing over the coming days and weeks and beyond. It may be a thread about self worth or how we use our voice or, owing to Chiron in Aries, our ability to stand up for ourselves.
