After Mars squares the Lunar Nodes, Saturn follows suit. It’s a day — if not a week — that brings pivotal actions and decisions with far reaching consequences. We’re feeling the weight of time and responsibility.

Saturn takes a long time to go around the Sun. Twenty-nine and a half years to be exact. Which means that Saturn takes a long time to go through the entire zodiac and can spend anywhere from two and a half to three years in just one sign.

If astrology is about time and the energy of time, then Saturn doesn’t mark the minutes; it marks the hour.

Although Saturn briefly dipped into Aquarius from March to July 2020, it’s spent the last year in the sign of friendship and community, humanity and society, social causes and social issues. Aquarius is about the larger framework of systems and networks that join us together. You could say that this is the collective hour we’re living through.

While Saturn has reputation for difficulty — certainly we’ve struggled with community, connection, and social issues since 2020 — Saturn has been exposing what needs rebuilding, strengthening, and balancing. So think of this week as a check-in on the work we’ve been doing while Saturn’s been in Aquarius. And seeing how Saturn squares the Lunar Nodes today, it’s a week to make major as well as long reaching decisions, especially decisions about our material and emotional lives.

In fact, lots going on this week. Jupiter joins up with Neptune on April 12, Mars arrives in Pisces on April 14, and a Libra Full Moon lights up the night sky on April 16. More on this in my weekly Facebook Live today at 6 pm EDT. You can watch the replay on YouTube, Instagram, or listen on Spotify.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for April 12.
