Welcome to the Taurus Full Moon, the time in the lunar calendar when the spotlight is on our material lives, from the basic essentials as well as property and assets to larger themes about value and worth. It’s also the earth beneath our feet and the pleasure of living. The full moon is exact on November 15, 2024 at 4:29 pm ET, 24 degrees Taurus-Scorpio. That’s 1:29 pm Los Angeles, 9:29 pm London, 11:29 pm Johannesburg, 2:59 am New Delhi on November 16, 8:29 am Sydney, and 10:29 am Auckland.

Full moons are decision points. Under the light of the full moon, we see things for what they are. There is a dynamic energy that can also coincide with personal milestones and events. Or, they can be confrontational and emotionally intense.

This full moon, like all full moons, is part of a set, pairing with the November 1, 2024 Scorpio New Moon at 9 degrees. Seeds planted or events set in motion at that time have now come to fruition. Both Scorpio and Taurus are the signs of matter and the material world, speaking to money, finance, assets, and power. Taurus is what we own. The resources we can call upon. Scorpio is the wealth that creates financial legacy, estates, and heirs. But Taurus and Scorpio are also these twin forces of life and death, the fertility and rebirth of Taurus eventually gives way to the decay and death of Scorpio, only to play out endlessly as part of a great dance.

There’s a lot going on with this full moon. It’s jam-packed with planetary points that pull in different stories and different cycles. Namely, the Taurus Full Moon is conjunct Uranus (conjunct means that the full moon is in the same exact place as the planet Uranus). If you remember, Uranus has been in Taurus since May 2018, March 2019. Since then it’s shaken up everything and turned aspects of our physical lives upside down. It’s been a sometimes radical reinvention of values and changed things we thought would never change. (Read Uranus in Taurus: Earthquake.)

Uranus is nearing the end of its time in Taurus, but the tectonic shifts are not over. Whatever is playing out around this full moon is connected to a story that began in 2018, 2019 and had checkpoints between April-May and October-November 2018 … 2019 … 2020 … 2021 … 2022 … 2023. (Uranus will begin to leave Taurus for Gemini starting in 2025.)

Then there’s Saturn. At the time of the full moon it has turned direct at 12 Pisces only hours before. Saturn has been in Pisces since March 2023. While Uranus can be a bit wild, inspiring us to buck the status quo, Saturn is all about the status quo. So, we have two energies that are a bit at cross purposes. How do we reinvent ourselves in a way that is measured, organized, and mature? How do we invest in the things that are true to our heart, soul, and spirit? (Read Saturn in Pisces: The Look Within.)

Venus, the ruler of the Taurus Full Moon, brings the energy of the full moon over to Capricorn, where Venus is presently located. At the time of the full moon, Venus is square the Lunar Nodes and coming up to the degree of the October 2 solar eclipse at 10 Libra. This may be a weekend that brings us to a crossroads, that spotlights relationship and commitment in some way. And this may be a weekend that has an eclipse-like ripple of energy. Doors may be opening towards new horizons.

Lastly, Pluto is at 29 Capricorn. A larger story, 16 years in the making, is coming to a close. The full moon makes a trine to Pluto. Perhaps it is time to live out the changes that we’ve been making since January 2008.
