After a short sprint through Aries, Mercury, the planet of communication and travel, arrives in Taurus today, a sign where it learns to slow down. Taurus is earthy, experiential. It likes to touch, taste, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. In Taurus Mercury gathers.
Here are a couple of things to note as we start the week. Mercury is finally in Gemini after almost twelve weeks in Taurus. The other big thing to keep in mind is that Neptune turns retrograde today. Are you feeling overly sensitive? More emotional than usual?
We’re coming off of yesterday’s argumentative face off between Mercury and Mars. Tensions may still be a touch high today, especially now that the Moon is in Virgo. We may feel overly critical, nitpicky, restless, quick to find fault in the details.
Mercury and Mars clash today. We may feel a little restless or have a need to get something off our chest. Although this placement has a history of arguments and accidents. Mercury is still in Taurus. A lot of the potential conversation today may be around value.
Just a friendly reminder that Mars is still retrograde. I’ve heard from a few of you and you’ve mentioned that things are a little sluggish or unresolved. Keep in mind that Mars is fire. It’s action, command. Any planet in retrograde doesn’t have the same energy.
Today Mercury and Pluto harmonize, giving us an opportunity to get to the heart of something. Pluto has a habit of showing us uncomfortable truths. Like a light in the dark, use today as well as the next couple of days to take a deep look at value, worth, and how our choices sabotage stability and security.
It’s almost that time of year again — Mercury Retrograde. Don’t panic. Srsly. We go through this three times a year, sometimes four. Mercury Retrograde is a time when we have to take a step back, reflect on our karma around our communication, ideas, and movement. The tide can’t always push out; it has to come back in. And with Mars already retrograde, we’re doing extra work on our words and actions.
