Hey guys, it’s June. It’s also Gemini season. This month has a bit of a serious feel to it thanks to the influence of Saturn, which is in contrast to Gemini’s tendency to play it fast and loose. As a result, many of us will be at a crossroads in June. Which direction will we go?
Mars is back into Scorpio, a sign it previously visited from January 3 to March 5. In fact, Mars will be back to the same degrees it was at from February 18 to the beginning of March. We will be revisiting something from that two week time period. Get ready.
As of this morning Mars is back in Scorpio. If Mars is action then Scorpio is power, invoking the forces of life and death, chrysalis, and resurrection. Scorpio is a look into the dark underbelly of life as well as the darkness within.
The full moon is also right on Mars, making something that we call a conjunction in astrology. This is a bit of an angry or in-your-face placement for Mars, like someone, out of no where, telling you how they really feel. And seeing how Mars is retrograde, we have something to work out from the past.
Let’s talk about Mars. As I mentioned yesterday, Sagittarius is a sign that’s been getting a lot of play lately. That’s because Mars has been in the sign of faith and truth since the beginning of March — that’s a long time for Mars to be in one sign.
You may have heard that come Thursday, five planets will be retrograde. As disconcerting as this may sound, it’s not uncommon for four planets to be in retrograde and the outer planets spend 4-5 months of the year moving backward. So it’s normal. I think what’s a little unusual about this one is that both Mars and Mercury are retro, two personal planets.
Full moon are decisions, a turning point, and a time when we see things for what they really are. Full moons are in our faces. There may even be a crisis. And with the full moon in Scorpio there is no pretense; whatever decision we’re making we’re seeing it from every angle.
Mars Retrograde alert. The planet of action, willpower, and motivation will turn retrograde this Sunday, April 17. Are you are an Aries or Scorpio? This is a time to reflect on how you express the core of who you are. For the rest of us? Mars Retrograde teaches us that we can’t charge forward 100% of the time. We have to pull back from the battle, regroup, and strategize anew.
