Hey, Sagittarius, this is your look at the astrology of March 2021. My name is Katie Sweetman and I’m an astrologer with Empowering Astrology. So let’s take a look at this month. I think it’s important for us to understand Sagittarius that you are in a larger period of time where there are eclipses that are happening in Sagittarius. You are a Sagittarius, of course, or Sag rising this is for Sag rising too. And this eclipse is happening in Gemini. Gemini is your relationship sign.
So with that happening, this is a year where it’s about you and it’s about other people. Now first, we had these eclipses start in June of 2020, then we had another round in November, December of 2020. But this is playing out all throughout 2021 and the beginning of 2022. So this is a natural time for relationships to come into your life. And I mean, all relationships, not just romantic partnership, but it is sort of on brand that if you are single, there’s a time when a more serious relationship comes in or there’s a marriage or you and a partner split.
But nevertheless, this is a time about other people and sort of the back and forth, that natural back and forth that happens between you and other people? I mentioned this for two reasons. One, Mars goes into Gemini on March 3rd. So Mars is sort of activating, highlighting, stirring up your relationship sign, it’s activating that eclipse degree from November 30 at the 2020. Eclipses, they sort of say that one part of your life, the story is changing.
It’s like you’re watching the theatrical performance of a play and the curtain comes down in one act and then a curtain comes up on the next act. And it’s a whole new set, a whole new scene, the whole new hone of people or the scene or the set or the story has taken a different turn. So Mars is sort of saying, OK, it’s time for the set, it’s time for the story to take another twist and a dramatic turn. I mean, not to be like, you know, in a negative way, of course, but just to say that something’s going to change.
So you might see that the next few weeks as you go further and further into March and even into April, that this is about new people coming into your life. This is also about dealing with existing things with other people, including partnerships, alliances, business partnerships. Mars in this part of your chart just from a traditional standpoint, is a bit testy. It’s not diplomatic or maybe you’re having to put out fires and relationships. So just kind of runs the gamut.
The other thing to keep in mind and sort of related to these eclipses that we are talking about is that March is Pisces season for the most part. And Pisces in your chart represents your career. So Pisces is at the bottom of your chart, which talks about home and family and roots and foundation. So this is naturally a time for you to nest for you to focus on who’s in your inner circle, who’s in your inner sanctum.
I do realize we’re all spending a lot more time than usual at home, and especially you Sagittarius. Normally you’re on a flight to somewhere, on a road trip to somewhere. So you’ve had to spend a lot of time at home. But this is the time to really kind of refocus your attention to your home environment. This may be a month of a move. This may be a month where there is a change in your living situation or change in the household.
People move in and people move out.
So there’s going to be a Pisces new moon on March 13th and this new moon highlights a lot of what I was just talking about. So new moons are new beginnings. It opens a new chapter, a new lunar chapter that lasts for four weeks, so this takes you into April. So this tells me as an astrologer that you are sort of turning over a new leaf in your home environment this month. You are maybe preparing for a move or you’re turning your attention to home and family.
There’s some of these bigger existential questions that ask, like what do you need? What do you need at this time? And maybe because of all the stress that’s been going on and all the changes and 2020, that you need a lot. You need a lot more than you’re actually getting. And so maybe this is a time to really make sure that you are getting your emotional needs met. Venus will be kind of wrapped up in the energy of this new moon.
Neptune will be wrapped up in the energy of this new moon. And when I see Neptune involved, there is something about letting go. There’s something about either surrendering to a divine plan or letting go of something that you’ve been holding onto. So it’s quite possible that some of these questions about getting your needs met tie back to something from childhood, tie back to something to mom and dad and family.
And maybe this is a time to really let go, surrender, heal, forgive, have compassion. Neptune in its highest form, does talk about redemption and talks about healing on a level that humans can’t even think about. And there’s been this, by the way, I think at this point a 7/8 year story, because Neptune’s been in Pisces since 2011, 2012 of completely opening up your heart, completely finding new references for home and family and connections.
Maybe some stuff’s really bubbling up. Let’s not forget that Jupiter is your planet, your ruling planet Sagittarius and Jupiter is in the part of your chart that talks about voice communication, travel, movement as much as one, of course, can travel these days. So, it’s really about exercising the mind right now, and maybe you are taking classes, maybe you are exploring, maybe you are reading, maybe you writing, maybe you’re talking more.
This new moon does pick up the energy of Jupiter, which is why I bring this up. And so do forget that this is a time where over the next, actually two years, you have to take your voice seriously.
You have to take what you’re saying seriously and take your choices seriously. So maybe something about home and family does thread back to choice or does thread back voice.
Does your family hear you? Do they actually know what you are, what your true feelings are, for example.
We go a little bit further on March 15th, Mercury goes into Pisces. So Mercury is both your relationship planet and it’s also your planet of career, is that right? No, no career. So I do. Yes, career. I do a backwards math there for a moment. So this is a time where things have maybe sort of receded a little bit. It’s time to incubate. It’s time to get, you know, maybe kind of reflect on work and where you’ve been over the last however many months so maybe things a little quiet, especially there. Things are probably really busy around the New Year. So take this downtime, you know, because when you are going a little bit further into April in particular, it’s more about getting some of your, you know, creative juices going and then putting that into action. As you go into May. I’m getting a little bit ahead of myself, but there’s going to be a lot of work going on and the home environment maybe just kind of focus on projects at home.
And, you know, maybe if somebody is coming into your life with some of the other things that are going on with Mars, you have a very strong emotional connection to them.
It’s maybe kind of building upon a lot of the deep emotional work that you’ve been doing over the last five, six, seven, eight years. Then on March 20th, the sun leaves Pisces for Aries. So this is the start of a new astrological year the start of a new cycle here in the northern hemisphere. And astrology is very northern hemisphere biased. It’s the stars of spring, this kind of sunset renewal, the sense of new fresh shoots, new life, new beginnings.
I know for those of you in the southern hemisphere, it’s the start of autumn. So Aries season for you, Sagittarius is about creativity, self-expression, fun, adventure.
These are the things that you, you know, kind of your stock and trade Sagittarius.
I mean, I know that life’s been a little bit a little shorter on the adventure side of things lately, but it’s a time to kind of get back to you and get back to kind of the things that really light the flame within you because you need that flame within you. Otherwise you kind of feel a little flat and whatever.
Then Venus joins the Sun and Aries on March 21st. So maybe it’s sort of picking up on the fact that this part of the chart also talks about romance. So if that’s relevant to you, maybe this is a time for dating, time for a date right now, time for meeting new people, time for dating, time for romance. As one can do that these days. And as we get into the end of the month, we have a Libra full moon on March 28.
So Libra for you is your sign of friends and community. It’s a sign that puts a little spotlight on the networks. You’re a part of the groups that you’re a part of, but also some things are only convictions and these bigger ideas. Sagittarius, you’re a smart sign. You know a lot. And some of it is just because you just have been a lot of places, you’ve studied a lot of things and you seem to know a lot about a lot of different things, but…
This Full moon is also saying it’s time to look ahead. It’s you know, it’s time to strategize for the coming year. It’s time to think about where do you want to be where do you want to go? Who are your allies? Who are not your allies? I say that because Saturn is in Aquarius right now and Saturn can get a little brutal in the friend department. Saturn is like ‘is this person a friend, this person is not a friend, kind of deleting things from your from your contacts.
But this full moon is sort of maybe to that point talking about that dynamic energy between community and friendships and belonging, but also you, because the ruler of this full moon, Venus, is going to be an Aries. It’s going to conjunct Chiron. So Chiron talks about a pain point and this full moon might bring up a pain point. Is it safe for you to be you? Can you feel like you can go out there in the world and be yourself?
And maybe this relates to relationships as well, because Mars will be over in Gemini, your relationship sign. Maybe asking you about how do you reconcile the course that you want to take your life on for the coming months and year versus you kind of being in your integrity and making the right choices.
