Welcome to March 2021! It’s Pisces Season, which means we’ve come to the end of our journey through the zodiac. It’s time to rest, recharge, let go, and prepare for the coming astrological year. It’s also a season to dive into our spirituality, matters of faith, and to cultivate compassion.

With Jupiter in Aquarius this Pisces Season, we’re trying to find the balance between the head and the heart, between what’s practical and what’s right. Both Pisces and Aquarius are visionary signs, able to zoom out and see things from a much higher level. When we look at our own lives, do we start to see things differently? Connect the dots in a way that gives us a whole new perspective? This is a season to awaken our conscious as well as our conscience.

We start the month with Mars’s arrival in Gemini on March 3. If Mars motivates and inspires, then it heats up Gemini’s need to speak, learn, move, and travel. This is a very restless and curious placement for Mars, bringing more element Air — the element of exchange and connection — to a sky that has been dominated by Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. Air is more analytical. It wants to interact and network. It needs partnership.

But we do have a Pisces New Moon on March 13 in case we get too in our heads. With a conjunction to Neptune and Venus, this is both a beautiful new moon as well as a new moon that will make us feel. Neptune dissolves the boundaries between our physical world and the world of energies, emotions, and spirit. Neptune also tells us that we have to surrender, to open up to the flow of life by letting go of expectations as well as our egos.

Mercury also joins Pisces on March 15, turning up our intuition, gut feelings, and psychic abilities. Pay attention to your dreams in the second half of March. They may be vivid or deeply insightful.

By March 20 the Sun moves into Aries and it’s time for not only a new season, but the start of the astrological year. It’s the energy of spring and renewal, of green shoots and fresh starts. With Mars in Gemini this Aries Season, we’ll be on the go, restless to get outdoors and move. We’ll also have lots to say and may be forming strong opinions during this time.

A Libra Full Moon on March 28 is a call for diplomacy, connection, and partnership. Although with Venus in Aries conjunct Chiron, this full moon may touch on a deeper pain point, something that requires us to find courage and bravery. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to find commonality and figure out solutions that benefit everyone.
