Welcome to July. It’s Cancer Season, a time when we reach out to family or cultivate connection with people who are like family. It’s all about emotional need and care this season. As a sign, Cancer helps us connect with the gentle archetype of the mother.

This Cancer Season already arrived with a solar eclipse, so we step into July on the cusp of something very new. Maybe people stepped out of our lives while new people prepare to enter. Change may have brought strong emotions and tenderheartedness and so we may be feeling vulnerable as we start the month.

The big news is Saturn’s return to Capricorn on July 1, a sign that Saturn will wrap up its long visit to by the end the year. But it’s important to be aware of the stories and narratives that have unfolded while Saturn was in Capricorn from December 19, 2017 all the way till March 20, 2020. This was a time when we needed to step up in a particular part of our lives as well as be tested on our ability to do so. (For a refresh on what area Saturn has been pushing you to step up in, read Saturn in Capricorn: Sign by Sign.)

Saturn’s revisit of Capricorn is a tone shift. There’s a seriousness or sobriety to things. And on July 5 a Capricorn Full Moon lunar eclipse puts something in the spotlight, something that has roots in a story from 2018-2019. In fact the lunar eclipse is a coda to an eclipse that fell on January 5, 2019. Note any parallels to this month.

The July 5 lunar eclipse also brings eclipse season to an end, a season that began with a confrontation Sagittarius lunar eclipse on June 5. When you look back to June, you may see the end of one chapter and the start of another. Although this is the end of eclipse season until November, it’s likely that we will see these eclipse stories come up into August — sudden new beginnings, fated meetings, and a major change in direction for some.

Mars is also in Aries all month long, not leaving Aries until January 2021. We’re feeling extra motivated. We’re moving forward (although Mercury is retrograde until July 12). We’re feeling more courage and bravery than usual. But we may be feeling hot headed and aggressive, too. Channel Mars’s fiery energy into a positive outlet like fitness or other physical initiatives.

Then on July 20 we have a second Cancer New Moon. While this one is not an eclipse, it echoes the energy of a previous Cancer New Moon on June 21. The new moon makes a strong opposition to Saturn in Capricorn. We’re drawing a line in July. We’re setting hard boundaries. We’re saying no … or yes. We need to get serious as we go into the end of the month and into August. We also need to find the balance between duty and responsibility and the things that nurture our hearts.

Aries

March 21–April 19

Aries Glyph

So much is happening for you this month, Aries. It’s possible that July is both pivotal and initiatory, giving you a much needed push of forward momentum. If you look back at May and June, you had to slow down, rest, and recuperate. This isn’t usually Aries’s favorite activity, but it was a much needed time to recharge after all the recent ups and downs of life. Just before the start of July, Mars, your ruling planet, burst into Aries and began a six month chapter of moving forward, taking action, and doing anything but sitting still. Perhaps, as you step in July, you’re already feeling life move very quickly. You’re more energized. You’re taking the lead. Perhaps you’re even feeling restless and impatient. With all this energy to move ahead, it’s important to keep a few things in mind. One, on July 1, Saturn returns to Capricorn, where it will reside until December 17. I want you to think back to the start of 2018, the year that Saturn first arrived in Capricorn and commenced a three year lesson around needing to take more responsibility in your life and define the world you want to play in the world. In short, it’s as if to say the past couple of years have been figuring out what you want to be when you grow up. Doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 65. With Saturn back in Capricorn, your sign of career and direction, you may feel a shift in focus this month. It’s as if Saturn is sitting you down and giving you feedback — hopefully not too sternly — on what you need to do to get your career in order as well as get your life on track. It’s a month to revisit your goals, ambitions, and milestones. Have you been slacking off? Do you need to push yourself harder to reach them? Or do you need to put the finishing touches on two years of building your professional life? To that point, a lunar eclipse on July 5 puts the spotlight on your career as well as your public life. This lunar eclipse may act as a coda to changes and experiences since the start of 2018. It may also inspire or provoke a career change. There may also be something that you have to take action on in your professional or public life. Let’s not forget that it’s Cancer Season. Time to turn your attention to home and family as well as your living situation. A Cancer New Moon eclipse in late June may mean that this month you’re prepping for a move or looking to make some changes in where you live. Another new moon in Cancer on July 20 means that you’re looking at another new chapter in your home and family as you cross into the later half of July. Do keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde in Cancer until July 12. If you’re looking to make major decisions during the first half of July, try to wait until after Mercury turns direct. It’s possible that you don’t have all the information or that something is still playing out. By July 22 the Sun arrives in Leo and you kick into a new season, one that’s about making time for fun and other leisure pursuits. It’s also a season to express who you are, from creative endeavors to performance and showing off your talents. It’s a big month, Aries, a mix between serious and playful, new beginnings and wrapping up old stories. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Taurus

April 20–May 20

Taurus Glyph

You step into July with Venus, your ruling planet, finally out of retrograde. What did you learn during your 40 day journey inward, from May 13 to June 25? Do you have a new appreciation for the value of things? Do you have a different relationship with money, stability, and the choices you make in your material life? Do you have a greater sense of self worth? Retrogrades are a natural time to reflect. Even though Venus moves forward this month, you’re still reflecting. With Mars now in Aries, where it will be for the second half of 2020, you’re in an extended period of time where it’s about retreating from the world and looking inward for answers. On one level, this may be a deeply spiritual time, one where you go deeper into your connection with source/creator/god. On another, you may feel like it’s time to let go of the past and prepare for a new life. Part of this shedding of the past includes relationships, from old patterns of connection and disconnection to relationships that are no longer serving you. The other big thing to keep your eye on this month is Saturn’s move from your career sign of Aquarius to Capricorn, your sign of faith, truth, and meaning. Think back to January 2018. That was the month that you began a three year story of figuring out what you believe in. Maybe this marked a time that coincided with a crisis of faith — faith in yourself, faith in the world, faith in god — or a deeper pursuit to educate yourself about the world. Maybe you navigated different philosophies and viewpoints. Maybe you traveled the world looking for answers. Saturn left this part of your chart on March 21 to open you up to a new time in your professional life, but it was merely a preview. Saturn returns to Capricorn and, thus, returns to these deeper existential themes on July 1. From the first of this month to December 17, you’re doing the last bit of work to learn and integrate these deeper lessons, to find faith, to know what your truth is, and have a powerful internal compass. Further, a full moon eclipse on July 5 puts these deeper lessons into the spotlight. Pay attention to what’s coming up. It’s part of a bigger story that is now coming to a close, one that began in 2018-2019. It’s also Cancer Season, which means that you’re in a time when you’re busy with things to do, trips, and anything happening on a local or neighborhood level. It’s also a time to focus on communication and, with Mercury Retrograde in Cancer until July 12, it’s possible that you’re having to navigate some miscommunication as well as serious conversations. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Money, income, stability, security, trust, material needs, spending, gathering, resources, value, worth, self worth, communication, information, ideas, learning education, movement, travel, exchange, classes, school, faith, truth, wisdom, knowledge, belief, understanding, philosophy, conviction, right and wrong, law, legal matters, rest, retreat, inner search, existential questions, inner knowing, spirituality, meditation, spiritual connection, recuperation.

Gemini

May 21–June 20

Gemini Glyph

As you start the month, you’re in a period of pulling back, reflecting, integrating, and finding new perspectives. Yes, Mercury is retrograde until July 12, a common occurrence and a reminder that you can’t always push forward. Mercury Retrograde in Cancer has been a more emotional time than usual and one that puts the spotlight on value and worth. Do you feel as though you are valued enough? Does self worth get in the way of being paid or compensated what you should be? Do you need to make changes in spending to reflect a new way of thinking about how to create more stability in your life? That said, the big news this month is Saturn’s return to Capricorn, a place that it traveled through from the start of 2018 till March 2020. During this time you had to learn deep lessons around emotional connection, vulnerability, and the hidden or shadow parts of yourself. Perhaps these years felt heavy and dense. Saturn’s return to this placement in your chart isn’t necessarily a return to hardship and adversity, but it is a time for you to reevaluate, integrate, and restructure what you’ve learned since 2018. The goal of this time, as it always has been, is to master yourself — the deepest parts of yourself, your fears, issues and trust and vulnerability, letting people in, and healing the past. Saturn’s return may instead feel like a moment when you have to measure yourself against these goals. And if you feel that there is room to work, this will be your focus until December. Speaking of measuring yourself, a full moon lunar eclipse on July 5 puts the spotlight on these themes, requiring you to open up or open up more deeply, to find emotional fortitude, to face anything unhealed. Don’t forget that it’s Cancer Season. For all the deep emotional work you may be doing, it’s still an important time for you to find your feet on solid ground, to feel nurtured, safe, and cared for. Mars is also in Aries, which means that friends, community, and your social network really matters right now. It’s time to reach out to friends, make new connections, and lead in your community. It may also mean that things may be a bit unsettled in your social circle, especially as Mars meets up with Chiron on July 14. Again, Mercury turns direct on July 12, giving you some forward momentum into the second half of this month, but note that Mercury is still in Cancer and you may feel more sensitive than usual, especially towards the end of the month. A Cancer New Moon on July 20 is another refresh or restart in your sign of money and material needs, second to a new moon that occurred on June 21. You continue to focus on getting your material life in order, especially with the new moon’s opposition to Saturn in Capricorn and you end the month on a serious note. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Money, income, security, trust, value, stability, material needs, value, resources, finance, assets, what you own, property, salary, benefits, the deep self, deep emotions, facing fears, emotional digging, transformation, transmutation, vulnerability, intimacy, letting people in, sexuality, rebirth, friends, community, social circle, social network, groups, humanity, collective, the future, hopes, dreams, goals.

Cancer

June 21–July 22

Cancer Glyph

Last month’s solar eclipse on June 21 put you in a powerful time of renewal and new beginnings. You’re in a sixth month chapter that, on one hand, may look very different than the previous six months, but also begins to conclude a personal chapter that began in 2018. When you look back at where you were in July 2018, what’s different? What’s the same? Or, rather, what common threads do you see running through then and now? One of the common threads you may see is that of relationships. With Saturn now back in Capricorn, the sign that it was in for all of 2018-2019, you’re returning to a bigger lesson around how you connect, socialize, and interact with people. In the past two years you may have seen a serious relationship come in, seen a serious relationship end, or worked harder than even to build stronger partnerships. It’s as if to say that Saturn’s back to check in on how you’re learning your relationship lessons until December. So, remember, this is an area where you have to step up your game. Find balance and equity with partners. Set healthy boundaries and feel comfortable with saying no. Say yes to people who deserve yes. Know your value and worth. Show up and be responsible to the people who are most important to us. A full moon lunar eclipse on July 5 puts these statements into focus, a lunar eclipse that means serious business. Then again, life is about stepping up to responsibility and growing as a result. Let’s not forget that it’s your birthday season. Perhaps the past few days and weeks have put you on wobbly ground. With Mercury Retrograde in Cancer, you’ve both had a lot to say but have also needed to be mindful of what you’re saying. Is it possible that emotionally charged words have been spilling out without thought and care? Or you’ve needed to say something you’ve previously not been able to say? Mercury turns direct on July 12 and a lot of pent up words may need to be said. On July 20 there’s another Cancer New Moon giving you another refresh, new beginning, or restart. This one is another check in with a relationship or partnership. With its opposition to Saturn, you have a serious decision to make or a need to set boundaries. You may also be feeling the weight of time and responsibility. This is a lunar month to make sure you’re doing the right thing. By the end of the month you say goodbye to Cancer Season and step into Leo on July 22. The rest of July highlights themes around money and material needs, earning and spending. And with Mars in your career sign of Aries this July, all the way through the end of the year, it’s a time for you to put a lot of focus on effort towards achieving your ambitions and pushing forward in your professional life. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: New beginnings, refresh, renewal, moving forward, taking responsibility, relationships, other people, socialization, one-on-one connection, interaction, partnerships, commitment, getting serious, relationship decisions, crossroads, negotiation, compromise, career goals, professional life, ambitions, work, direction, aim, reputation, money, income, salary, spending, material needs, value, worth, resources, what you own, trust, stability.

Leo

July 23–August 22

Leo Glyph

Leo, you’re in an interesting time. On one hand you’re in the midst of a titanic shift in your life. (Look back to 2019 and measure your life from now to then. What has changed?) While this shift is mostly focused in your professional life, the tectonic plates are moving in other areas, too. Cancer Season is the season that arrives just before your own. It’s time to take stock of the last eleven months, going deep within to reflect, review, and shed the past. In fact, a new moon solar eclipse on June 21 may have powerfully shown you what you can no longer hold onto or even the things in your blind spots — your unconsciousness, attachments, and old emotions. It’s also if to say that you’re in a phase of life in 2020 that is about endings, but also preparing for new beginnings. Use Cancer Season to connect to your spirituality more and nourish your connection to Source. As much as July is about your spiritual life and your spiritual health, it’s also about day-to-day living and your physical health. A Capricorn Full Moon on July 5 is a push for you to get real, especially about how you treat your body, from diet and fitness to self care and wellness. In fact you’ve been in a much longer phase of life where you’ve needed to make a lot of serious but positive changes in your health. Saturn’s return to Capricorn on July 1 is also a return to larger questions around health and wellness. And your body will be a big focus into the end of the year. Hopefully this means you’re capitalizing on any healthy changes you made in 2018 and 2019, getting more focused on your fitness regime or diet changes or even getting more organized and disciplined. But if this has been an area that’s lagged in attention, then July could be a wake up call and a push to make overdue changes. In fact, if you need to let go of any bad habits, attachments, or addictions, then Cancer Season is the perfect time to do so. Let’s not forget that Mercury is retrograde in Cancer until July 12, which means that you may be having strange or vivid dreams, increased intuition, or a need to revisit something from the past so that you can resolve and release it. Take note that the Sun, your ruling planet, will make a couple of bumpy oppositions to Jupiter and Pluto from July 14-15 in case you’re feeling strong energies. Use these for personal transformation work and empowerment. A Cancer New Moon on July 20 gives you another opportunity to shed the past, let go of any negative habits, and make positive changes in your emotions, spiritual, and physical health. By July 22 the Sun moves into Leo and you kick off your season, a time of renewal. Let’s not forget that Mars is now in Aries and will be in Aries for the next six months. You’re in an extended period of time that’s about faith, truth, and wisdom. What do you believe in? Use this time to search for answers, whether it’s in a book, a philosophy, or someplace else in the world. This may also be a period of increased travel, although that may be a bit difficult depending on where you are in the world. That said, it’s all about convictions right now and standing up for what you believe in. If you are not sure what you believe in, you will need to figure this out by the end of the year. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Letting go, shedding the past, preparing space for new life, the unconscious, blindspots, spirituality, retreat, reflection, dreams, introspection, existential questions, faith, truth, meaning, philosophy, education, religion, convictions, right and wrong, standing up for what you believe in, spiritual health, physical health, wellness, taking care of the body, diet, fitness, nutrition, day-to-day life, daily habits, daily tasks, schedule, organization, projects.

Virgo

August 23–September 22

Virgo Glyph

Virgo, you got a glimpse of your new life from March through June, but now that it’s July and Saturn is back in Capricorn, you’re returning to the work you were diligently attentive to from 2018 to 2018 and the early parts of this year. During this time Saturn wanted one thing from you — to take yourself seriously. This means taking your talents seriously as well as really honoring and defining what it means to be you. How did you do? We live in a world where it’s easy to lose ourselves and forget who we are. Or let others define aspects of our personality and persona. Now that Saturn is back in Capricorn, it’s time to revisit this work. Creativity and self expression are really important right now. This includes creative works and projects, even pregnancy and children. If you began a creative work in 2018 or 2019, now is your time to hone it and bring it to its fruition. Or if you struggled to define who you are, then Saturn is pushing you to get clearer. This includes facing your own doubts, self destruction, and the facets of self that feel less than or unworthy. (You could argue that this time of personal transformation began in 2008-2009.) A full moon lunar eclipse on July 5 puts make brings an immediacy to this work of transformation. Mars will be spending six months in Aries, a sign that pushes you to explore the deepest parts of yourself, your psyche, as well as your shadow. You’re already in a time when you have to go into the uncomfortable spaces within so that you can make necessary changes and transform. It’s about power and control, intimacy and vulnerability so that you can open up to others as well as yourself. Note that Mercury, your ruling planet, has been in Cancer since May 28, an emotional and nostalgic sign for Mercury to be in. And Mercury has been retrograde since June 18, a time when you’ve had to pull back and reflect on your future and where you’re going. With Mercury turning direct on July 12, you can start to move forward and integrate some of the realizations you’ve opened up to since June. That said, let’s not forget that it’s Cancer Season, a time for you to connect with friends, community, and social causes. Perhaps you’ve had to do this virtually or at a distance, but nevertheless it’s a time of focusing on the people in your networks as well as community matters. A Cancer New Moon on July 20 puts this into perspective again; there was another Cancer New Moon on June 21. It’s all about something greater than yourself and figuring out how to be a part of it. You’re also gazing towards the future, figuring out where to head towards. When the Sun dips into Leo on July 22, you dip into a season that’s all about pulling back from the world to reflect on the previous year. (Oh what a year it’s been!) Get quiet and meditation. Release the past. And get ready for the next personal year. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Community, social network, social circle, friends, social connection, groups, networking, social causes, humanitarian causes, the collective, humanity, politics, the future, looking ahead, looking backwards, sensitivity, nostalgia, emotions, feelings, the self, creativity, self expression, talents, persona, identity, self destructive behaviors, the deep self, the psyche, emotional health, psychological health, healing, the shadow self, shadow work, transformation, vulnerability, intimacy, power, control, money, finance, debts, taxes.

Libra

September 23–October 22

Libra Glyph

You’re at a crossroads, Libra! How have you been feeling the last four to five weeks? You’ve had to navigate some big deal astrology. Let’s recap. First, a solar eclipse on June 21 opened up a powerful six month period, one that may bring a change in your career, direction, and even that role that you play in the world. This eclipse is part of a series of eclipses that have been winding their way through your career sign since July 2018. How does your professional life look very different or in a different direction in the last two years. Two, Mars moved into Aries on June 27, a sign that it will be in for the next six months. It’s all about other people right now, from how you connect and socialize with the needs and demands of partnership, including intimate partnership like a marriage or serious relationship. So, navigating that, you step into July with Saturn’s return to Capricorn after a brief visit to Aquarius. Capricorn is the sign that forms the foundation of your chart. It’s home and family and, over the past two years, you’ve had to build a new home or build your family or take care of issues from the past or even take care of your own parents. The stipulation of this time is that whatever you’re building be on very different soil than what you inherited or were born with. How are you doing with that work? Saturn’s return is a measure of your progress over the last two years if not the last twelve years. (Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008.) Perhaps you’re planning a major move or trying to figure out where home is, even if it’s a metaphorical home. Saturn in Capricorn until December means that, over the next five months, you’re wrapping up this work and making serious decisions about home and family, where to live and put down roots. A lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 5 puts this into immediacy. You may be seeing changes in the home. You may need to excavate deeper into yourself, too. That said, it’s Cancer Season, the time in your personal calendar when the Sun travels through the highest reaches of your chart. It’s about ambition and responsibility, your professional goals and aims. It’s about getting recognized for your work or needing to make a change in your professional life to align with new goals and aims. Mercury has been retrograde in Cancer, so if there has been something unresolved on a professional level, you may have to wait until after July 12 for things to get clear. Another Cancer New Moon on July 20 is another new beginning in your career, a time for you to not only focus on your goals but get very serious about things. It’s a time when you’ll need to commit to something, whether it’s a path, so to speak, or a new position. Then on July 22 the Sun arrives in Leo and you step into a new season, one that’s about community, networks, and friendship. How will you take a more active role in the world? How will you connect more with friends and social connections, especially in a time of social distancing? Let’s not forget that Venus, your ruling planet, is still in Gemini this month. You’re still sorting through themes around faith and truth. Do you know what you believe in? Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Career, professional life, worldly life, reputation, status, recognition, title, ambitions, direction, drive, responsibility, new job, job change, new beginnings, home, family, roots, foundation, living situation, changes in family, changes in home, a move, parents, outer world, inner world, relationships, other people, partnership, socialization, social connection, negotiation, compromise, faith, truth, meaning, beliefs, convictions, education, travel.

Scorpio

October 23–November 21

Scorpio Glyph

Did you feel Mars’s arrival in Aries back on June 27? Since Mars is your ruling planet, it’s arrival in its home sign of Aries gives you strength and power — and it will do so until January 6, 2021. But it comes with a caveat, which I will explain in a moment. July and August are months for you to move forward, take action, and take command. It’s a time when you may be very busy with work and projects and possibly risk working too much. (Make sure you take a break, Scorpio!) You’re getting organized and being the boss. The caveat is that Mars will be retrograde from September 9 to November 13, so be very mindful about the things you begin and the new beginnings that you seed, especially after July 26. You may need to return to rework and take a different approach. It’s also a time when your physical health is important and Mars in Aries loves exercise, especially anything that gets the heart flowing. Be mindful of diet and make sure you’re getting physical activity. That said, it’s Cancer Season, a time in your personal calendar when it’s all about faith and conviction, truth and meaning. It’s also a time for you to focus on education, especially anything that helps you to cultivate wisdom and knowledge. You may also be traveling, too, which is a bit restricted at the moment, but normally this would be a season for you to explore and to travel long distances, even embark on a foreign trip. (For now, maybe you’re watching a travel documentary instead.) A solar eclipse on June 21 really highlighted deeper themes around faith and belief, something that will take you into the end of the year. And if travel is something you’re trying to figure out, especially as you navigate rules and restrictions, see where things are at after Mercury turns direct on July 12. But the real news this month is not only Saturn’s return to Capricorn on July 1 but a Capricorn Full Moon solar eclipse on July 5. Think back to 2018-2019 and the first few months of this year. This was a time when you had to take your mind as well as your voice seriously. Perhaps you were working hard, taking classes, learning and deepening your education. Perhaps you were building a stronger voice and making sure you were being heard. Saturn’s return is a measure of your progress. And if you haven’t been taking you voice, your mind, and even your choices seriously, Saturn will be sitting you down to make sure that the last five months of this year really push you to take a step up. Information and ideas are also very important. The July 5 full moon may bring you serious news or a need to take a step up or choose something important. Note how you’re feeling and what’s coming up when Mars and Chiron align on July 14. You may need to find courage or confront old emotions around not having had bravery or courage in the past. It’s also a time to heal something very old, possibly from other lifetimes as well. A Cancer New Moon on July 20 once again puts the focus on convictions, truth, meaning. You may have to stand up for what you believe in or need to put your thoughts and ideas out there in the world. But with its opposition to Saturn, make sure you’re taking things seriously and taking responsibility. By July 22 the Sun arrives in Leo, the highest sign in your chart, a sign that points you towards career as well as your place in the world. The rest of the month as well as August will be a time to capitalize on all your hard work. It’s about going after your goals and ambitions. Not exactly the most relaxing time, but certainly productive if you work it well. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Faith, truth, meaning, wisdom, knowledge, philosophy, convictions, religion, ideology, worldview, the world, existential questions, search, right and wrong, education, higher education, foreign travel, journeys, work, projects, health, wellness, diet, fitness, nutrition, day-to-day life, schedule, organization, overwork, physical movement, getting in shape, service, information, ideas, learning, classes, voice, communication, the mind, choices, news, managing responsibilities, career, public life, professional life, ambitions, status, recognition.

Sagittarius

November 22–December 21

Sagittarius Glyph

Things have been a bit intense, haven’t they Sagittarius? What with Jupiter, your ruling planet, in a bit of a long embrace with Pluto, it’s possible that the last few months have been deeply transformative. It’s been a time about finding your personal power, transforming what you value and completely reforming any old sticking points around self worth. You’re in the midst of becoming a new person, but not without having to face yourself — your blindspots, your shadows, your doubts, your self sabotage — so you can transform into something better. This process of transformation has been ongoing since March and take note that it will continue into November, not unlike deconstructing the parts of yourself that are not working anymore. And let’s not forget that it’s Cancer Season, the time in your personal calendar when it’s about examining and diving into the deepest parts of yourself and the solar eclipse on June 21 brought you deeper into yourself so that you could let go of the past. But it’s Saturn’s return to Capricorn on July 1 that is the real news this month. It comes back to the lessons you were learning about money and value and material needs from 2018 to the first few months of this year. Before Saturn left Capricorn in March for a brief foray into Aquarius, it sat you down and gave you the measure of your progress on learning how to be more financially stable and secure, completely knowing your worth, too. Now that Saturn’s back, you’re going to send the next five months, until the end of the year, reworking your relationship with money, taking on new financial responsibilities. Saturn just wants you to know your worth and to say no to the things that are worth your time or in alignment with your full potential. If you haven’t been setting a budget, now’s the time to start. A Capricorn Full Moon on July 5 puts money, resources, and material need in the spotlight. You may have a major decision to make about money or pondering a major purchase or looking at how to get your material life in order. Like I said, you’re in the midst of a powerful transformation. But you do get some playtime this month in the form of Mars’s extended stay in Aries. For all your hard work, make sure there is balance. Make time for play, creativity, and self expression. Revel in who you are and enjoy the romance and passion of life. Mercury also gets out of retrograde July 12, which is important because it is your relationship and career planet. You may see more forward movement in the second half of this month, especially as you go into August. Then on July 20 a second Cancer New Moon (the first was on June 21) puts the deepest, most vulnerable parts of yourself in the spotlight. Continue your shadow work, face the hidden self that actively works against you. Work to transform this self and integrate darkness into light. It’s a time to continue themes around security, safety, and intimacy. Finance and assets are also in the spotlight, too. Then on July 22, the Sun arrives in Leo and it’s a time of increased energy, movement, and vitality. Leo is your sign of travel and exploration. You’re itching to get out there in the world. Obviously travel is a bit restricted at the moment, so we’ll have to see how that plays out. You’re also tuning into themes around truth and meaning, faith and belief as you round out the month. Capricorn

December 22–January 19

Capricorn Glyph

Big moves in your world, Capricorn. Saturn, which is your planet, has returned to Capricorn for a five month period of integration and wrapping up. Think back to the very beginning of 2018. Reflect on where your life was then versus where it is now. Perhaps it seemed fortuitous that Saturn would be in its own sign for so long, but it was likely a heavy past two years owing to the fact that the South Node of the Moon was also in Capricorn. What this time was about, when you look back, was the need to step up into the next level of your life. Yes, this meant more responsibility. The bar was set higher for you, in true Capricorn fashion. It also meant breaking down old structures and barriers. So here comes Saturn, back into Capricorn. Maybe you felt the shift as you went into July, a sense that you need to take another step up in life. And a Capricorn Lunar Eclipse on July 5 put you in the spotlight, which means that July is going to be a big month for you, a month where life turns another corner. Then again, that’s what eclipses do. So if you’re being asked to take on more responsibility or set healthy boundaries or honor time and create more balance, then you know that that’s a big theme for you right now. Relationships continue to be a focus as you come off a powerful new moon on June 21 that weaves its way into your experiences this July. Do keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde in Cancer, your relationship sign, until July 12. If someone new comes into your life, how is it reflective of something from the past, something unhealed? How do you also confront old beliefs around relationships? It’s not that you can’t start a relationship during this time, but it requires reflection on how a new person connects to anything that is unconscious or unrevealed. If you are already in a relationship, use the first half of July to resolve something from the past between you and a partner. With Mars in Aries all month long and into the end of the year, you’re also in a month where you need to make some changes in your living situation. Mars can be a bit unsettled when it’s in this part of your chart. The home can feel noisy or busy. You may be packing and moving or setting up with renovation projects and other major home initiatives. People may be moving in and out of the home as well. If something tender or deeply unhealed from the past comes up around July 14 with Mars’s conjunction to Chiron, it may require bravery and initiative. Then on July 20 a Cancer New Moon brings you back to relationships, opening a lunar month of serious decisions, from committing to a connection or person to needing to set boundaries and say no to something that is not working. Then on July 22 the Sun arrives in Leo, kicking off a new season, one that takes you into some of the deepest parts of yourself. You end the month working through themes around intimacy and vulnerability, trust and power – all things that thread their way through relationship. It’s time to be more open, Capricorn. But it means leaving some of the old you behind. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: New beginnings, crossroads, spotlight, serious decisions, serious actions, commitment, responsibility, growing up, growing old, growing wiser, time, stepping up, relationships, other people, connection, socialization, interaction, negotiation, compromise, one-on-one, partnership, home, family, roots, foundation, changes in the home, a move, renovation, home projects, home initiatives, conflict in the home, family conflict, intimacy, vulnerability, trust, power, control, openness, sexuality, the shadow self, the unhealed self, the deep self.

Aquarius

January 20–February 18

Aquarius Glyph

Aquarius, how was the last few months for you? What new beginnings did you see come in? What new chapters? Saturn dipped into Aquarius for only three months, giving you a signal that your life is about to step into a new arc of time, one that will bring you into the next thirty years. (Yes, the next three decades!) Being on this very powerful line of past and future, you find yourself back in a liminal space with Saturn’s return to Capricorn on July 1. Saturn is your planet, so its movements back and forth — especially its movements back and forth between signs — reveal a major shift in focus. The past two years, from the start of 2018, were about letting go of the past, releasing personal and spiritual baggage, and strengthening your connection with Source. It’s been a time of spiritual mastery. So you are returning to these themes, the existential search for truth and meaning that can only be found within. The next five months are your final push, a need to commit to something spiritual as well as divest yourself of anything remaining that you don’t want to bring with you into the next three decades, if not the next life. In fact, a lunar eclipse on July 5 is like a spotlight on your blindspots or anything unconscious or hidden. If something does come up, the eclipse is helping you to see something you wouldn’t normally have been able to see so you can release it and not bring with you when Saturn comes back to Aquarius. Pay attention to your dreams and flashes of intuition. If you have lingering complicated emotions around your spiritual life and the existential search for meaning, then how can July bring some level of resolution? As much as this month is highlighting your soul, Cancer Season is a time for you to focus on your body as well as your physical health. A powerful solar eclipse on June 21 weaves its way into your experiences in July and, as a result, you may be making powerful new resolutions in how to take care of yourself, what to feed yourself, and how to seek greater care and wellness. Note that Mercury is retrograde until July 12. If you are trying to get to the bottom of a health matter, you may have to wait until the second half of the month. Or, if you’re not sure about what path to take next with your physical health, you may have more clarity later in the month. Work and projects are also a focus at this time and you may be trying to get more organized and focused in July. Another Cancer New Moon on July 20 again gives you a time of new beginning in how you take care of your body and live your daily life. With its opposition to Saturn, though, you may have to make a serious decision or at least a wise, intuitive decision about the next steps forward. By July 22, the Sun moves into Leo and the sun shines its lights on relationships. You’re arriving in a season that’s about interacting with other people. If you’re in a relationship, then the rest of the month is a focus on their needs. If you’re not in a relationship, it’s a time to make new connections. Lastly July is likely also very busy with Mars newly in Aries. You may have lots of places to go around time or fielding different calls, texts, and messages. This will be a pace and rhythm that you will navigate into the end of the year. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.

Key Themes: Liminal space, between worlds, between lives, between chapters, letting go, surrender, the unconscious, dreams, spirituality, spiritual health, the soul, spiritual baggage, connection to Source, retreat, reflection, the inner search, inner wisdom, health, wellness, taking care of the body, diet, fitness, nutrition, daily life, rituals, schedule, fast pace, movement, the neighborhood, local, trips, travel, ideas, information, educations, conversations, heated exchanges, powerful new ideas.

Pisces

February 19–March 20

Pisces Glyph

How are you hanging in there, Pisces? You tend to feel things strongly so it’s possible that Jupiter’s conjunction to Pluto at the end of June is making you feel a lot of pressure to change and transform, pressure that may feel a bit uncomfortable depending on the type of person you are. Keep in mind that 2020 is a year for you about structural change — change in how you see the world, change in your relationship to friends and community, change in the direction your future is heading, and internal structural change. With Saturn back into Capricorn after it’s three month dip into Aquarius, you’re back in some familiar territory, but it’s possible that the pressure is stepping up a bit. Saturn’s been getting you to take a second look at all your friendships since the start of 2018, getting you to weed through the networks, groups, and social connections that are no longer serving you. That said, what have you learned about friendship and community since 2018? Who can you rely on? Or do you need to work harder to have more connection? It’s time to get a new read on this part of your life as Saturn pushes you to refocus on this area for the next five months, integrating and relearning, getting very clear about who you want to be connected to and who you don’t. A lunar eclipse on July 5 puts this into the spotlight, demanding some immediacy. It’s also Cancer Season, which means that this is the time in your personal calendar when it’s about creativity, self expression, and cultivating your talents. (If relevant, this is a time to focus on pregnancy and children, too.) As you do serious work in building and rebuilding your social network, make time for things that help you to build self confidence and a stronger self of who you are. If romance is part of your experience this Cancer Season, make sure you’re taking note of Mercury Retrograde until July 12. As a result, you may be weighing your options or need to see how something potentially unresolved from the past is affecting a relationship. Mars is in Aries all month long — in fact it’ll be in Aries until the New Year — and you’re feeling extra motivated to take command of your material life and bring in new income or revenue streams. Value and worth may be hot topics, too, including your own worth and how it connects to how you earn a living. Another Cancer New Moon on July 20 (the first was a powerful solar eclipse on June 21) puts identity and person into focus again. With its strong opposition to Saturn, you may have to define something previously undefined or make a decision about who you are, a decision that may take you in a new direction. Then on July 22 the Sun leaves Cancer for Leo and you step into a new season, one that is a focus on health and wellness for Pisces. This may also include creative projects. That said, things are shifting this month and you may get more information on the sort of career changes or job shifts that were seeded in June’s astrology. Want a deeper look at how July will affect you? Book your one-on-one consultation now.
