Aries Moon takes us into the weekend. We want to rush forward, take action, get things done. Between the recent full moon and the Aries Moon picking up on some tense astrology, we may be feeling strong emotions into Saturday. Gives this a positive outlet.
How do we give Mars a positive outlet? First we have to understand that every planet and every sign has two sides — a side that’s productive and creative and a side that is destructive and destroys. Mars, of course, in its destructive side, is anger or even rage. It’s aggressively competitive. But in its positive side, it’s the courage to move forward and take action, it’s self direction, it’s healthy competition. It orients itself towards positive goals.
Mars will spend the rest of 2020 in the sign of Aries owing to a retrograde that begins next week, on September 9, and lasts until November 13. Mars retrograde is typically a period where we can’t rush forward or push our agenda. We have to use our Mars in a different way. We need to have a new relationship with action and competition, anger and aggression.
That said, Mercury and Venus switch signs this weekend, entering Libra and Leo respectively. Mercury in Libra strikes a more diplomatic tone, it uses its words and ideas to find consensus, to socialize and connect. Venus in Leo loves the romance of life and loves to be loved and adored. It’s regal, creative, and loves to have fun.
