Happy Monday! Now that we’re in Scorpio season, let’s turn our attention to Mars, the ruling planet of Scorpio. He’s been hanging in Virgo since September 24, 2015. Mars in Virgo is a bit obsessive, whether it’s pounding through minutiae of daily life or getting the work out just right. Virgo is an earth sign so it encompasses aspects of physical life — health, wellness, organization, service. Pair that with Scorpio, a water sign that touches on the emotional side of things, and we’re doing a lot of heavy lifting around our psychological health. The next few weeks, while Mars is still in Virgo, we’re going to be digging deep into the hidden parts of ourselves.
And let’s not forget that Mars is just about to activate the September 13 solar eclipse degree at 20 Virgo. Mars ignites, sparks, and fuels. Solar eclipses, because they are new moons and not “visible, take a while to unfold. Mars at 20 Virgo tomorrow will mean that we’re going to see the plot start to unfold around that solar eclipse.
If you’re new to astrology beyond sun signs, keep in mind that solar eclipses are powerful new beginnings. We have them every six months. They are the clockwork of the divine, engendering experiences that often feel fated. Eclipses ensure that life keeps moving and changing.
Anyone born with a natal Uranus/Pluto conjunction in the mid-1960’s (around 17′ Virgo in 1966) is having this Venus/Jupiter/Mars conjunct that natal placement in their chart, as well as it linking up to the 9/13 eclipse. As a generational aspect, I am experiencing this like waking from under a deep sleep to soul urgings that demand attention. My thought is that my Generation is collectively coming into our power right now……..
