We’re rounding out the Libra lunar month and tying up this story around relationships we’ve been working on since October 19. Over the last four weeks you’ve likely had profound realizations, sudden changes in partnership, or an evolution in how you interact with other people — especially a mate.
When we’re learning about the sign of Libra, we often hear the word “relationships” associated with it. And, often, the first thing we think of is romantic relationships. True, not all of us are in romantic partnership. Unless you’re living as a hermit, completely shut off from human contact, you still have relationships. You still have social interactions. You still interface with people on a daily basis in some way.
Libra teaches us about other people. All the previous signs before Libra — Aries through Virgo — talk about experiences that are either about the self or insular to how someone experiences his or herself. When we arrive in Libra, we’re confronted by the presence of other people, their demands, and their needs. As a result, we learn to negotiate, socialize, and bring compromise to our experiences. Thus, we learn about ourselves in ways that we could have never learned about ourselves as singular individuals. For that Libra is relationships.
On November 18 we’ll begin a new lunar month and a new story, this one focused on the energies and experiences of Scorpio — intimacy, trust, facing our fears, finance, legacies, transformation, secrets, sexuality, revelation, and rebirth.
