A Capricorn Moon takes us until the weekend, one that is all business. While the Moon isn’t typically at home in Capricorn, it reminds us to nourish our ambitions and work on building towards the future.
Capricorn is a sign that’s had a little bit of a tough go of it for quite some time. When Pluto arrived in Capricorn way back in 2008, it kicked off a long journey of completely transforming the structures our lives are built upon as well as something very personal to us depending on where Capricorn is in our chart. (Not sure where? Read Pluto in Capricorn: Sign by Sign.) It’s also been a long look at themes of power and the systems — both personal and worldly — that run on this power.
Then, at the start of 2018, Saturn arrived in Capricorn. There’s a part of our lives that we need to take more seriously than usual, a part of our lives that we need to build but also tear down what’s not working. (Read Saturn in Capricorn: Sign by Sign.)
So, the Capricorn Moon returns us to this old story, even if just for a few days. It’s a revisit of the past and what we’ve built. With the North Node still in Cancer, we can’t neglect what our hearts really want.
Venus also arrives in Sagittarius today, a sign that it will spend the next few weeks. In Sagittarius, Venus loves adventure, exploration, and exotic trips to far away lands. It’s Venus at its most bohemian. It wants a connection that allows it to roam and try to new things. For all of us, it’s an opportunity to be in the romance of life after the heaviness of Venus in Scorpio.
Also, if you’re in New York City, please join me on Tuesday, November 12 (on the full moon) for a talk on The Astrology of 2020. I’ll be discussing the bigger themes that we’re all navigating next year as well as key areas for each sign, all in an penthouse with views of Manhattan. Details and ticket information here.
