We start the week off with a Libra Moon, a moon that highlights duties and responsibilities as well as relationships. Venus in Gemini wants us to socialize, connect, and to gather resources, too. But a bigger issue around value and worth may arise.
Keep in mind that Venus is getting ready to turn retrograde. The planet of money and relationships changes directions on May 13 at 21 degrees Gemini, spending 40 days moving “backwards” in the sky. During this time we have to review and reevaluate how we connect and partner with people as well as what we value and spend our money on.
So, with the Moon in Libra today, a sign ruled by Venus, pay attention to any themes around relationship or value that arise. They may be something that we’re working through on a deeper level throughout Venus Retrograde from May 13 till June 25.
Another layer to it is that Venus turns retrograde square Neptune in Pisces, an aspect that has a tendency to show up as a “all that glitters is not gold” energy. While Venus square Neptune can speak to beauty and glamor, there’s an element of illusion and seeing what we want to see, especially around relationships and anything of value.
Venus isn’t the only planet turning retrograde this month. Saturn and Jupiter will as well on May 11 and May 14 respectively. Multiple planets turning retrograde during the month mean that the collective story will shift.
