The Moon’s in Virgo today, a Moon that wants to get organized, work on projects, and clean things up. It’s a Moon that loves practice and ritual, dedication and skill. With Mercury newly in Cancer, we’re feeling sensitive, our emotions heightened.
As we go into the weekend, we may be thinking about our to-do list and the projects we need to do around the home. But we may find that our world is starting to shift and move. Our feelings are stronger. After all, we’re a week away from a lunar eclipse, one that not only kicks off a series of three eclipses that take us into July, but the first eclipse in Sagittarius.
Back on May 5 the Lunar Nodes shifted from Cancer and Capricorn, where they had been since November 2018, to Gemini and Sagittarius. We’re now having to collectively and personally grapple with themes around truth and meaning, information and ideas. We have to leave behind old beliefs in order to find new perspective. We may be wrestling with our faith in things as a result.
Eclipses correspond to the events and experiences that punctuate the timeline of our lives. They also signal that the curtain is coming down on one act or scene and preparing us for the next. And the themes that we’re feeling this week and into next will thread their way into our experiences into the end of 2021.
I’ll be discussing the eclipses with fellow astrologers Christina Caudill and Virginia Rosenberg in Eclipses as Initiations, a free webinar tomorrow, Saturday, at 3 pm EDT. Click here to register to watch live. The replay recording will be available for a limited time.
