Venus turns retrograde. Over the next forty days, we’re taking a second look at relationships, from how we connect and interact to reviewing and revisiting old patterns. Money and worth are highlighted, too. We need reevaluate our material lives.
When Venus is retrograde, a few classic things can happen. One, we don’t know the true value of things, so be careful if making any large investments at this time, especially since Venus is square Neptune. It’s considered unwise to purchase assets like a home or property. Further, it’s possible that we’re not seeing the full picture or caught up in a fantasy or projection of what we really what to see.
Two, an old lover or old relationship theme reappears. Sometimes this is so we can heal or resolve something we were not able to at the time. Or we need to bring conscious to an old pattern that is no longer working, the retrograde giving us a new perspective and push to release. If an ex does reappear, what needs to be resolved? If you’re planning to get married during Venus Retrograde, do note that you may have to work on deeper relationship issues with your partner.
It is possible to rekindle an old romance while Venus is retrograde. Lovers and connections from other lives reappear, too, representing a time when old karma can be worked out so that the relationship can begin again from a new place. That said, if you do meet someone during Venus Retrograde and start a relationship, you may have to reevaluate the connection when Venus turns direct. Again, since Venus makes a long square to Neptune during this retrograde, make sure you’re seeing reality.
Venus will be retrograde from May 13 to June 25, 2020.
Let’s not forget Mars. It arrives in Pisces today, marking its entry into the last sign of the zodiac. Pisces can be a bit of a strange place for Mars, a planet that’s used to power, control, and taking the lead. But in Pisces, Mars has to learn how to surrender, to have the wisdom to know what battles are worth fighting for and what causes are worth our energy. It’s a very spiritual Mars, too, but one that can sometimes hesitate to use its power. Mars in Pisces can use its power. It just has to do so wisely and with compassion.
