The Aquarius Sun comes up to a square to Uranus in Taurus. It’s a day to ditch convention, the past, or anything else holding us back. We may be feeling a bit restless as a result. Be open to flashes of insights and brilliance or an awakening.
Uranus is many things, but it’s specifically the planet that opens us up to new consciousness and awareness of ourselves. When we get that flash of Uranian insight, it can feel chaotic and confrontational. We can’t go back to the way we were thinking or living before. We have to have the courage to go in a new direction.
The Sun and Uranus started this most recent cycle of awakening on April 22, 2019. I remember that date because I was sitting along the banks of the Tagus River in Lisbon, marveling on how different (and a little scary) my life was after leaving my full time employer the month before, in March 2019, when Uranus went into Taurus for a seven year stay.
If you are a Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, the last year or so has likely been one of seismic shift. Maybe you’ve left a career. Maybe a totally new relationship has come in, someone quite different than before. Maybe you’ve had to completely reinvent yourself.
Even if you aren’t one of those signs, you have Taurus somewhere in your chart and that area is in the midst of a revolution. Not sure where Taurus is in your chart? Make sure you read my Uranus in Taurus: Sign by Sign guide.
In my weekly live astrology video last night (sorry for the jet lag!) I talked about this week’s square between the Sun and Uranus as well as the upcoming Aquarius New Moon, one that’s going to showcase the energies of Uranus in Taurus. If you missed my video, you can watch it here.
And if you’re in New York, hope to see you for Your 2020 Astrology Blueprint on January 30 from 6:30-8:30 pm. I’ll be talking about the astrology of 2020 and what it means for you! Tickets available here, which includes beverages and snacks.
In the meantime, the Moon’s in Capricorn today and we’re rounding out the lunar month. It’s a day for work, goals, ambition, but also taking stock of everything that’s happened since the December 26, 2019 solar eclipse in Capricorn.
