The Scorpio Moon takes us into the weekend, one that speaks to intimacy, power, and delving into the hidden side of life. The Moon also points us to Mars in Sagittarius. It’s a weekend to explore and travel as well as meditate and retreat from the world.

It’s easy to forget about Mars in Sagittarius right now. With so many planets in Capricorn, Mars has been overshadowed. It’s also been hiding out in Capricorn’s 12th House, a place in the chart that’s know for it’s quiet contemplation and spiritual longings. When the Sun shifts into Aquarius on Monday, January 20, we’ll start to get more air to feed the fire of Mars in Sagittarius.

Mars is the planet of action. It motivates and inspires. It’s the gas to our proverbial car. But it can also be hot headed, impatient, and aggressive. We’re going to be getting to know Mars a lot more in the second half of 2020 when Mars arrives in Aries on June 27 and doesn’t leave Aries until January 6, 2021. That’s six months of Mars igniting and motivating a certain part of your chart, including a retrograde from September to November 2020. That’s a lot of fire and action the as well as a time when we need to reflect more deeply on our relationship with Mars.

I talk about this and more in my two hour webinar on the astrology of 2020, which you can still get the video replay and learn what this year will mean for your sign. Details and registration here.
