Mars is now in Capricorn! Time to capitalize on all the hard work we’ve been doing over the last few months if not since the start of 2018. We’re motivated to work to reach our goals. We’re feeling more focused and inspired to reach that finish line.

In astrology we say that Mars is exalted in Capricorn, which is a way of saying that Mars gets along quite well with the sign of ambition, power, and responsibility. If Mars gives us fuel, then we’ve got a full take of gas over the coming six weeks to get us closer to reach a personal milestone, success, or achievement. (Read more about Mars in Capricorn in my sign by sign guide.)

Mind you, Mars joins three planets in Capricorn — Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn — plus the South Node of the Moon. And while life may have felt exhausting and heavy in December and January, Mars gives us a boost to take a particular part of our lives to the next level … whatever that next level is.

Use this week to think about what your bigger goals are and how you can use Mars’s renewed encouragement to go after them. Yes, Mercury is now retrograde and all that entails, but it just means that we can use this time to get a new perspective.

Keep in mind that Mars will active recent eclipse degrees, so we may see a few twists and turns in the road as we go into March. As you may know, eclipse energy reveals where people and situations are coming in and out of our lives.

Also this week we’re wrapping up Aquarius Season and stepping into Pisces tomorrow, February 18, followed by a Pisces New Moon on Sunday, February 23. If Aquarius is about science, intellect, community, and networks, then Pisces is about compassion, feeling, art, music, healing, and spirituality, themes that will weave their way into our experiences over the coming weeks.

I’ll be talking about this and more on my weekly Facebook Live today, February 17 at 6 pm EST. (That’s 3 pm Los Angeles, 11 pm London, 10 am Sydney on February 18, and 12 pm Auckland.) You can ask me live questions about this week’s astrology or, of course, you can watch the replay on YouTube and Instagram’s IGTV.
