Happy solstice! Here in the northern hemisphere we mark the first day of winter, a time when the light returns after increasingly dark days. For our friends in the southern hemisphere, it’s the first day of summer. The light has reached its fullness and will begin its descent.
Regardless of where you are in the world, it’s the start of Capricorn Season, the sign of matter and manifestation. As the last earth sign, it’s taken the resources and fertility of Taurus, cultivated them in Virgo, and brought them forth into the world. In Capricorn we’ve reached the highest reaches of our ambitions, yet our feet are on the ground. Here we learn about tenacity, hard work, and responsibility. Here we are invited to master the material world.
Capricorn is certainly an area we’re all going to get super cozy with over the next few years now that Saturn is in Capricorn. And even though it’s the end of the year, a time that is typically low on work and high on festivities, today’s meet up of the Sun and Saturn will truly usher in this Saturn in Capricorn era.
It’s a new season in more ways than one and Saturn is giving you a list of things to do. If the Sun is creativity and life, then use today’s Saturn conjunction to manifest or set in motion the things you want to build over the coming year. Or at least wait till tomorrow when Mercury turns direct.
