We go into the weekend on the cusp of planetary shifts. Both Jupiter and Uranus change direction, which means that we may see an area or two of our lives switch gears. That said, Jupiter highlights themes of faith, meaning. Uranus upends the status quo.
I’ve been putting Uranus on our radar all week because it’s been the caveat to the rosy, gold plated astrology of Sun and Venus trine Jupiter. Yes, it’s a week when we may be enjoying the good life — food, travel, romance — but Uranus’s retrograde in Taurus on Sunday, August 11 may be stirring up feelings of uncertainty, restlessness, and and a need to break from the past.
Jupiter’s also changing direction on Sunday, August 11, turning direct in Sagittarius. If you are a Sagittarius or Pisces, you may be feeling the rest of August and beyond as a time when things are starting to move forward. For the rest of us, Jupiter speaks of our need to make sense of the world, whether through education, philosophy, or even travel.
Jupiter is also turning direction in aspect to Neptune and here we are again with this ongoing question that we’ve been grappling with all year — does any of this really mean anything? Jupiter and its square to Neptune in 2019 has been a crisis of faith for some, especially Sagittarius and Pisces. By the way, he last in its three squares this year is September 21.
To that point, we go into the weekend with a Sagittarius Moon, which is underlining these deeper themes of faith, truth, and meaning. That said, the Sagittarius Moon is known for needing adventure and fun and that may be a part of our weekend plans.
Another thing happening on Sunday, August 11 is that Mercury finally leaves Cancer and gets back into Leo, a sign that it began its retrograde on July 7. And, come next week, Mercury gets out of its shadow. (Personally I’m really looking forward to being out of this retrograde period. This one has been a bit crazy.)
