We start the week with a Taurus Moon, one that craves stability, security, and the comforts of home, especially with Venus over in Cancer. But the astrology this week is anything but stable. The earth is shifting. We’re awakening to something new.
The real story this week is Mars’s upcoming square to Pluto on August 13, an energy that may feel intense, like a forge helping us to hone and fashion something into a new way of being. Mars square Pluto is very physical, too. It needs action, drive, and competition.
We need to give these energies a positive outlet, whether through healthy exercise or the work needed to transform something not working into something better. Mars and Pluto also have a reputation for volcanic like energy. Something repressed can come flowing up and out, including old emotions. So if you’re feeling anger, again, you can turn it into something positive through exercise or turn its raw power into a positive creation.
That said, with the Moon in Taurus today, our attention is on money and the resources we need as well as the resources we have available to us. The Taurus Moon is also a reminder that Uranus is in Taurus and will be for a few more years. And with Uranus coming up to its yearly retrograde on August 15, we’re checking in with a story of reinvention and revolution that began in May 2018 as well as March 2019.
More on this in my weekly Facebook Live astrology update at 6 pm EDT today. You can watch the replay on YouTube and IGTV or listen on Spotify.
