Scorpio Moon touches on Jupiter, opening us up to themes of vulnerability and trust. As a water sign, Scorpio teaches us about the power of emotional connection as well as facing our fears. Jupiter gives us the faith to dive into Scorpio’s unknown.
We’re halfway through with a year long stint of Jupiter in Scorpio, which began on October 10, 2017. During the last six months we’ve gained wisdom from not only our darkness but the the darkness of others. It’s been an emotional purge, a revelation of secrets, the bravery not only to let go of shame but to show others how to heal and find the light again.
Scorpio is the sign of the passage, a journey we all must take during life from time to time, the passage that, at the end of our days, takes us to the Other Side. When we go through Scorpio — the Moon does this a couple days each lunar month — we travel through the proverbial underworld in order to learn something we wouldn’t otherwise. When we come out the other side, we arrive in Sagittarius, the next sign as well as the sign of wisdom.
Jupiter in Scorpio says, we can’t truly have wisdom about life and about each other until we explore the emotions and experiences that we’re afraid to, that make us uncomfortable. We have to face our fears otherwise we’ll never really grow.
Keep an eye on this Scorpio Moon, too. I’ve noticed when the Moon picks up on eclipse degrees, it ties a thread back to that period of time. So, as the Moon travels through the latter degrees of Scorpio, it will touch on solar eclipse degrees from February 15, 2018 as well as August 21, 2017. This is more of a technical point for those who follow eclipses, but it’s important to note that not only is time a weaving, we’re revisiting what these eclipses were ushering in.
