Happy Libra Full Moon! This is the time in the lunar calendar when the spotlight is on relationships, harmony, and beauty. As the complement to Aries, Libra takes us out of ourselves and into the world through socialization and partnership. That said, the full moon is exact on March 31, 2018 at 8:38 am EDT, 10 degrees Libra/Aries. That’s 5:38 am Los Angeles, 1:38 pm London, and 11:38 pm in Sydney.

It is through our relationships and our experiences with other people that we learn about who we are. Like a mirror, Libra gives us an awareness of self that we wouldn’t otherwise have, something that is vital to our ability to grow and evolve. Libra forces us to compromise and consider the needs of others in addition to the needs of our own.

When we have a full moon, it means our attention is on the sign that the full moon falls in, perhaps critically so. There are revelations in full moons, bringing to fruition the seeds we planted under the new moon two weeks before. And when we have a full moon in Libra, our relationships are laid bare. We have a decision to make going forward.

Relationships mean different things to different people. But, at the end of day, humans are social creatures and we’re physiologically and psychologically hardwired to seek out connection. Whether it’s connection through intimate partnership or through the connections we make on an everyday level. Nevertheless, this full moon is bringing something to our awareness.

With a Mars and Saturn square the Libra Full Moon, we’ve got our work cut out for us. Mars demands action and Saturn demands maturity as well as accountability. It’s not an easy full moon, but one designed to bring us “back in line.”

Saturn is like the chiropractor of the sky, realigning us to the master plan. And with Mars and Saturn in Capricorn, it may not be about what we want, but doing what’s right. But, this could be a full moon where we see the fruit of our hard work. Saturn, for it’s tough reputation, is a planet that rewards when we show responsibility and maturity.

Since we’re looking at relationships with this full moon, how do they hold up to Saturn’s critical eye? Can they last for the long haul? Are they balanced? Equitable? If we’re single, but want romantic partnership, how can we can clearer or more real with ourselves about what we want for the future?

Lastly, the energy of the full moon is pointing over to Venus in Taurus. Like Capricorn, Taurus is an earth sign. We’re craving stability and security with this full moon. We also may examining the value of a relationship or even the value of ourselves. Ultimately Taurus is a lush and sensual placement for Venus. We need to reconnect to what really feeds us and supports us. And Saturn in Capricorn has no time for anything that does not.
