Mercury is on the move, following the Sun and Venus into Aquarius. Now that it’s Aquarius Season, we turn our attention to our friends and community, society and humanity. It’s also a check in with Pluto in Aquarius and a story that will be with us for many years to come.
When Pluto first entered Aquarius in March 2023 and again in January and November 2024, it arrived in a sign it had not occupied since the 1780s and 1790s. With it came a lot of unknowns. But what we do know is that Pluto is an evolutionary planet. Whatever sign it occupies will be deconstructed and reconstructed over a decade or more. (Read Pluto in Aquarius: Transforming Humanity.)
We’re in the early stages of this story of transformation. The plot points may not have fully come into focus. Although for some of us, especially the fixed signs — Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius — our world may have noticeably shifted in the last two years. (Read Pluto in Aquarius: Sign by Sign.)
That said, Mercury in Aquarius leans into the intellect. It favors science and analytics. It thinks about the bigger picture, especially social issues and causes, society and a vision for the future. With Pluto nearby, there may be an intensity to our thoughts and ideas. Our conversations may touch on powerful collective themes.
