Following in the steps of the Capricorn Sun, Mars also squares Chiron in Aries, a point of emotional and psychic tension in the sky. If Chiron represents a pain point, a point that we need to work on to heal, then it’s a day, if not a week to take action towards that healing.
Chiron has been in Aries since 2018, 2019. And if Chiron represents our healing work, we’ve had a lot to work on around power, action, desire, courage, leadership — Aries archetypes — since then. Chiron also works on a very subtle level and even though we’ve had seven years of Chiron in Aries, it’s hard to definitely point to what it has meant for us in that time. Come this year, if only for three months, Chiron will make its first arrival in Taurus starting June 19 until September 17. Our collective and personal healing work will begin to shift towards a sign that governs our relationship with our bodies, the senses, food, money and resources, and our own value and worth. For those who are about to turn 50, you will be going through the Chiron Return and these healing themes will be well present throughout the year. (Read On Chiron, Suffering, and Knots.)
Chiron isn’t the only planet changing signs this year. We have Neptune in Aries later this month, Saturn in Aries in February, Uranus in Gemini in April, and Jupiter in Leo at the end of June. It’s a year of new cycles, one that will mark 2026 as a turning point.
