Welcome to Capricorn Season. Yesterday the Sun arrived in the 10th sign of the zodiac, marking the solstice. For those in the northern hemisphere, it’s the winter solstice and the return of the light after after six months of increasing darkness.
Astrologically, when the Sun arrives in Capricorn, we’ve entered into one of the final signs of the zodiac. It’s been a long climb since we began the astrological year last March. Here we find the symbolic mountain top.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of matter and the material world, of time and maturity, lessons and karma. With a 29-year cycle, Saturn governs over the great arc of our lives and the milestones and events that build its timeline.
It’s little wonder that this is the season to asses our lives. What do we need to correct? Restructure? What are we building? What are our goals for the future, whether it’s for the New Year or for the next ten years?
With Saturn in Pisces, the energy of the season points towards a sign that provides a unique point of view. While Capricorn governs our material and worldly lives, Pisces governs our spiritual lives. As a result, it will be a season to find the connection between the material and spiritual if not the balance between the two.
Saturn has less than two months left in Pisces, a sign it first entered in March 2023. We’re beginning to see the conclusion of a chapter and the lessons we’ve been working on since then. Come February 13, Saturn will enter Aries and bring a personal and collective priority shift.
