Mars changes signs and it’s a switch up for our priorities. As the planet that represents where we need to take action, Mars brings its sense of urgency and immediacy to Capricorn. For the next six weeks, our focus will be on taking on more responsibility.
Mars loves Capricorn. It’s the sign of its exaltation, which is to say that Mars does its best work in the sign of maturity and growth, leadership and responsibility, ambition and achievement. In general, this is the time of year to look ahead and map out our strategies for the coming months. It may not be Capricorn Season just yet (the Sun arrives in Capricorn on December 21), but Mars in Capricorn puts us in the mood in advance.
Keep in mind that Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is still in Pisces. So, Pisces receives the energy of Mars in Capricorn. We may be strategizing and taking the lead, but it needs to align with a greater mission or purpose. Saturn in Pisces needs meaning — the meaning that comes through being in alignment with our spirit and soul.
Come February, just two months from now, Saturn waves its last goodbye to Pisces, not to return for 30 years. And, in the meantime, we’re wrapping up a significant chapter that began in March 2023 when Saturn first entered Pisces.
Saturn’s arrival in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, on February 13, is one of the marquee events for the New Year, a larger shift in our priorities that will spotlight a new part of our lives.
