On the heels of Saturn Direct, Mercury also prepares to turn direct at 20 Scorpio. If Saturn speaks to the larger themes that we are working through, Mercury is the everyday. In Scorpio, Mercury Direct may reveal or uncover. Conversations strike an emotional tone.
Mercury has been retrograde since November 9, beginning its journey in Sagittarius and then back to Scorpio on November 18, a sign it first arrived on October 6. Mercury Retrograde is always a rework and as well as a karmic personal rework. In Scorpio, Mercury is the detective, the occultist.
What’s curious about this last stage of Mercury’s time through Scorpio and back is its long opposition to Uranus, a planet that can bring flashes of insight, new ways of thinking, and even confrontational conversations. Keep this in mind as we go into December.
As a zodiac sign, Scorpio represents the hidden, the occult, the unconscious. What comes to light in the coming week or two may be from our own psyche. A hidden motive revealed, a powerful second look at a past choice or situation. There is also an opportunity to clear the air as unspoken words may want to finally be spoken.
