Ever since Jupiter arrived in Virgo in August, we’ve entered a time when faith and growth will come through acts of service and organization. (My joke is that Jupiter in Virgo is like waking up on Christmas to find that all the presents came from the office supply store. Badum ching.) Couple this with Saturn in Sagittarius and we’re in a year long period when we’re questioning what we believe and searching for meaning through order.

There are deep spiritual yet earthly undercurrents in these two planetary placements. Who are we? What is the meaning of life? How do we live our faith?

Today Jupiter and Chiron oppose each other — yet another turn in our growing existential crisis. Faith runs up against the infinite, whether it’s our pain, our grief, our sacrifice. If you have a gnawing feeling that something in your life needs love and attention, yet you can never quite fill the void, that’s Chiron. And, because it’s an opposition we’re dealing with, the pain is now visible, tangible.

Some wounds do heal. They must. We just have to be willing to let go.
