We go deeper into the dark of the moon. The lunar light grows faint. With the Moon in Leo alongside Jupiter, there’s a philosophical and even spiritual tone to the day. We may be searching for answers or seeking out the mysteries of life. It’s also a day for releasing.
Leo is a sign that will continue to be a major focal point for the rest of 2026 and into 2027. After all, we had a Leo solar eclipse on August 12, which opened a six-month chapter centered on Leo, the sign of identity and the self, passion and creativity.
Jupiter will also be in Leo until July 26, 2027, and we also have the South Node of the Moon in Leo until early 2028. (There will be one last solar eclipse in Leo on August 2, 2027 at 9 degrees.) Read Jupiter in Leo: Sign by Sign.
That said, with the South Node of the Moon in Leo, we have karma to work on with this point in the sky. The South Node is like a well of memory and instinct. It reflects the journey that we have taken in this life and others. As much as Leo can be confident and magnetic, the South Node may reveal where we struggle with our Leo. Perhaps we hold back from expressing who we truly are, for example.
Take note of what is stirring in the psyche today around the self and identity. It may be time to release something old that we have been holding onto.
