The Astrology of September 7, 2026

We are in the dark of the moon as we start the week, a time when we naturally go inward, rest, and reflect on the previous four weeks. As we wrap up a lunar month that began with a solar eclipse, we may need to consider the changes that have happened since August.

The Moon crosses between Cancer and Leo, the same sign as the August 12 solar eclipse. A seed was planted at the time, one that will reveal itself in full over the coming months. If a lunar month covers four weeks, an eclipse cycle — solar eclipse to solar eclipse — covers six months.

The seed was planted in the sign of Leo, a fire sign and the sign of the Sun. Over the next six months we will be experiencing life through the lens of Leo, navigating themes around identity and the self, passion and creativity, positive and negative ego.

If Leo is the Sun and the solar, let’s consider the Moon, the feminine to the Sun’s masculine. The Moon waxes and wanes. It pulls us into the emotional, the intuitive. It hints at our past and the road we have traveled.

Then again, our road ahead over the next six months will pull on these deep lunar threads. Who are we? Do we take ourselves seriously? Do we hide our true selves behind a mask? Is it time to find our confidence?

With the Moon in Leo the next two days, it may be time to ask ourselves these questions.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for September 8, 2026.
