Mercury arrives in Scorpio for a two-month stay. The planet of voice and communication, ideas and information becomes a natural investigator in Scorpio. The coming weeks may lead us to uncover a mystery, to have deep, revealing, and even pointed conversations.
Scorpio is a sign that doesn’t care for artifice. It deals in truths that can be blunt. So, with Mercury in Scorpio, we’ve entered a period, until December 6, when we have to strip away the veneer to see what is at the heart of a matter.
Normally Mercury spends two weeks in a sign, but an upcoming retrograde, which will begin on October 24, means that we have work to do in Scorpio. A retrograde is a time when we have to retrace our steps, integrating what hasn’t been integrated. It is a yin phase, a time to go inward and to tap into our intuition.
If Mercury governs over our thinking and analytical processes, Mercury Retrograde will be a reminder that life can’t always rush forward. Instead we will need to find the value in deliberation, taking our time to reconsider all the options in order to make new, informed choices. Mercury will turn direct on November 13.
