The Astrology of September 29, 2025

We start the week with the Moon in Capricorn, a first-quarter moon that puts us to work after the September 21 Virgo solar eclipse. It’s a busy day, one that blends checking off our to-do list with the vision and purpose of Saturn in Pisces.

Capricorn is “ruled” by the planet Saturn. Which is a way of saying that Saturn is the boss of Capricorn. So, when the Moon is in Capricorn, the Moon has to answer to Saturn because the Moon is visiting Saturn’s domain.

But where do we find Saturn?

Since March 2023, Saturn has been in Pisces. And as much as Saturn is all about work and achievement, Pisces blurs Saturn’s hard edges, bringing us out of the material world and into the spiritual.

Pisces is the end of the zodiac. It’s the last sign. It represents the unity that we are searching for, the path that will take us back home as we go through each sign. Pisces inspires compassion, peace, and inner revelation after our long search. (Read Saturn in Pisces: The Look Within)

However, we’re human and compassion and peace aren’t always so obtainable. So, with Saturn in Pisces, we’ve got some work to do, work that is existential, emotional, and spiritual in nature. Our hard edges have to grow softer.

At this point, we’ve had two-and-a-half years of Saturn in Pisces, so it’s a familiar story. We’ve been doing the work and learning the lessons — hopefully. That said, Saturn will only be in Pisces for the next five months, until February 13, 2026, but this last stretch will be crunch time. (Read Saturn in Pisces: Sign by Sign)

Use today’s Capricorn Moon to revisit some of this work we’ve been doing the past two years, to meditate and reflect on where there’s still work to be done.
